Tickets for Sale or Free

Offering some of my perspective and experiences attempting to secure baseball season tickets. I just wrapped up a call with the athletic department on the outlook of 2025 season tickets. It is fair to provide transparency to interested Vols looking for season tickets in the near term.

Our situation: Became Shareholder Society donors in 2022 with the sole goal of procuring baseball season tickets. Donated around $30K total and currently sit at a donor rank of #2400ish. We had also placed deposits when the new stadium design was released. Actively attend and buy tickets on the secondary market to attend games the last few years.

2025 Baseball seat allocations: UT is currently notifying the top 500 donor ranks to see if they would like to move or procure more seats. Out of the 2400 donors ahead we were 390 on the list that requested new tickets. Little to no chance we will achieve tickets in 2025.

2026 and beyond: Increase in stadium seats doesn't seem significant to drastically increase our chances of securing season tickets. I could be wrong but it would require a lot of donors not increasing their allotment ahead of us and those in a similar position.

Shareholder Society perspective: We wouldn't donate again for the verbal promise of having a good shot at season tickets. My estimate is it would take around $50K donation to ensure new season tickets going forward. Most of the benefits of the Shareholder Society aren't that useful for a working couple.

While I believe the size or capacity of the stadium is locked in. I encourage you to communicate to the AD that the size of our stadium will not meet demand anytime in the near future. We need a stadium like Arkansas' Baum Walker or LSU's Alex Box to meet the sustained interest in Tennessee baseball.

I'm in the same boat with you on this. We already have 2 tickets, but we really need 3 (and therefore I need to buy 2 more because they're not going to just sell me 1). My rep was clear that the Shareholder Society was the best CHANCE of being able to buy more tickets but that it was far from a guarantee, especially given that there will be very few new seats in 2025. I'm hoping there's a better shot in 2026, but who knows? So I'll keep lurking in this thread to pick up my extra ticket until they feel that I've given enough money to be worthy of more season tickets. 😏 The really frustrating thing is the people who obviously buy tickets for the sole purpose of reselling them, as the same seats are for sale on Ticketmaster for every single game. I really despise those people for making things more difficult for the fans who really want to go to the games and cheer on the team.

FWIW, it was a few months ago so I don’t remember the exact number, but something like 12-18 people didn’t have their season tickets renewed because of all they did was sell their tickets.

Based on what I was told before 2024, the lowest ranked donor who get new tickets last year had the point equivalent of about $95,000 in prior donations.
I'm not saying that will translate to the same this or future years but that's not a good sign.

Sadly, the school would get the exact same amount of money from new season ticket buyers than they would get from the donors who paid that for football. And those who buy baseball tickets only will be FAR more likely to attend every game than the football donors from across the state or out-of-state.

Nope. Just to the lower section behind the backstop. Asked about MVP just for kicks - was told I would have to be in top 50 donors so I just left it there.

Hello All!
I will have all the 2025 mid-week games available at my cost. My seats were in Section B, Row 17, Seats 29 and 30 on the aisle. Great seats for those who sat in them last year.
Section B is now named Section 213.
My 2025 seats are Section 213, Row 11, Seats 29 and 30.
There are 16 midweek games and cost per game is $55 total. I would love for someone local to get them and actually go to all the games.
Reach me at 615-473-0409.
A number of people in this forum can vouch for me. Spring will definitely look different for me after 4 years of hotels, travel, tailgates and new friends🥹
