It's good but check in exactly 24 hrs ahead and both at the same time. You want boarding positions close together. If you can get it, upgrade to A1 - A15. You get on and pick whatever seat you want.

I loved it, and still do. But SW Greenville-Spartanburg started sending all its flights to ATL (no longer Chicago Midland or Houston Hobby), and I do almost anything in my power to avoid ATL.

The cabin crews used to be hysterically funny, but Covid might have killed that.

I flew 2 weeks ago and they were still doing the check in boarding order. The word from the attendants was next year sometime.

Will be soon. Will assign seats and board window seats first, followed by middle seats then aisle seats.

They ran experiments on this in 2006.

Flying Southwest is good and bad. They have a good crash record as far as number of crashes per month, but theirs are the deadliest. So, there's a good chance you won't crash but if you do, you're done.

Oh, excellent point! Reserve a wheelchair for departure, any layover, and arrival. Yes, she can walk, but it really helps in chaotic airport conditions. I’ve swallowed my pride and done it a couple times too, including when transporting a cat.
