Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness

It's messed up, and big cats are marvelous creatures, but... Honestly, I was left not really that interested. You knew from the get-go Joe was headed to jail. The only really compelling items were the disappearance of CB's husband and the fact that you can buy a Tiger for about the same amount as people are paying for designer Labradoodles and Yorkipoos.
I was a lot more interested in the personalities and general craziness. If Joe never went to jail it’s still just as entertaining.

Baskin seems like a hypocrite. She says in the first episode you can't put tigers in cages, yet it appears she does the same thing in even smaller cages. Then she complains about people Joe/ect making money off tigers. But again she's doing the same thing with paid admission into her zoo

It does cost quite a bit of $$ to feed and take care of cats that size

She is a hypocrite but I also see how she justifies it. She's not a breeder, she's just bringing in unwanted big cats where somebody else created the problem.

That being said, by her own words she argued the cats need 20 sq miles and she's got them in relatively small cages because she is motivated by $.

Also, she totally killed her husband.

She bred them for years, probably still does

Somehow I missed that. So "rescue" is just good marketing

Yeah i don't know if it was really in the show or something i saw elsewhere. Supposedly that was part of her beef with the murdered husband, he wanted to breed them but she didn't. However she kept breeding them after his "disappearance"
