Not only that, but they've seen Joe in practice for a couple of years plus they knew what the OL was going to look like. On top of that, the OC was headed out. In what world would anyone suggest that those two guys should have said no thanks to the NFL to return to our current situation? Makes zero sense. They are getting paid big money, they’re good
Hyatt hasn't been targeted by the Giant's QB because he has been running for his life or flat on his back. Their new QB just made a very confident assessment of Hyatt's ability and readiness after the game. The players know that he's a future superstar and that he just needs more touches. He knew that Hooker was the real deal and that the current accuracy issues would significantly impact his draft stock. He made the right decision for himself, though I would have loved to see him another year on rocky top.Because the NFL isn’t guaranteed contracts. I had a post in the middle of the year saying Hyatt wasn’t an NFL ready receiver. I got roasted. Now he’s not done anything. I didn’t say he was bad I said he needs to get bigger and stronger.
Where does it serve him if he gets cut and bounces around a few years making the minimum? He could have gotten a lot bigger and stronger in another year. Maybe moved up into the top two rounds and really made some big money.
Just an extremely uninformed post. He went across the middle last week to make a leaping grab knowing he was going to get hammered after catching it. Took the big hit and held on to the ball for a big first down. Its all about the money. I have said multiple times that Hyatt is fast but scared to take the hit. College ball is different the Pro ball. Yeah. He is with the Giants. I get that but he will get the salary he is getting then bounce around for a while. Receivers these days must work all the areas of the field as well as block and thats not his game. I am sure to ruffle feathers but he should have went pro for the money. If he was here think of how frustrated he would be playing with Bobble Head Joe....
