Time Traveler Caught on Film.

So what the hell was that woman/man doing? I'm not saying it was time travel but something is definitely odd about that clip. The transistor radio hadn't been invented so listening to one was out of the question. She's holding something and talking, that's pretty easy to tell, but why?

Maybe she was the town crazy person who walked around holding her ear and muttering random obscenities.

If she is a time traveler, why doesn't she have a Jawbone or some other bluetooth?

she went through all the trouble to blend in by wearing the style of the times but was ok with being seen with a "cell phone"?

Seriously, the cell phone tower line I keep hearing everywhere this story is being discussed is very short-sighted. It's like saying, "if she's talking on a phone, where's the cord?"

So definitely a time traveler right?

Agreed though. I mean, if she really was talking on a cell phone, meaning she is some sort of time traveler, you would have to think that other crazy ass technology would exist in her world as well.

What if her future clothes were dirty? Probably don't sell Nikes and future-GAP in the 20s.

I would really like to see the coming Digital photographic evidence. Checking out her hand device and her personage. CGI and CSI her.

That video has blown my mind. Am I the only one who thinks it is really a time traveler? I can't be. There is no other explanation for her talking on a cell phone before they were invented. Video freaks me out.

I don't believe for a second she's a time traveler.

Think about it this way: Let's say, 100 years from now, you've invented time travel. And you know the history surrounding the imagining of the technology. And suddenly, you see an old news story about a "time traveler caught on film", and recognize that it's you. Obviously, you then correct the error when you actually go back in time. Thus, no evidence.

Unless of course this is just a flavor of the week type story and it goes nowhere. Then a potential time traveler would never notice or care.

And if that is the case, obviously there is no reason for us to care either. No matter how you slice it, this story is pointless.

PS: it isn't a time traveler.

If that's a "time traveler", I'm the next to last King of Scotland.

one of the comments for the Time article is probably correct, it's a Siemens hearing aid.

The only problem that I can see is that the person doesn't really look or move like a woman. It looks like a man in drag, check out how big the feet are in comparison to the height.

Someone posted in the comments section on the website that it was a hearing aid device patented by Siemens and was used the same way she was holding it, as well as providing a link to said device. Boom!-roasted

Just curious how the cell phone worked with no cell phone towers in 1923?

So they have the technology to time travel but they don't have the technology to communicate with people in the future?

Anyways... I think think the whole thing is a crock and I'm pretty it's some type of hearing aid for that time period.
