Timeouts

So you are going to use a game that happened in 2001 to assume we had a real chance. Our offense really couldn't get anything going.

our offense scored 17 points on maybe the best defense in the nation. While Auburn could only get 10.

If we had the ball with 50 seconds left LSU is going to go into a prevent or mustang defense and that would allow all the short out passes wide open and be able to march down the feild. and yes that's exactly what happened to us against UGA in 01

so let me get this straight...you agree with letting the time run off the clock and not calling the timeouts and have the ball with 10 seconds left and 3 timeouts?

At first I was upset like most on this thread. But thinking about it, it was a good coaching decision by CPF. He laid it all on the defense in making them kick a field goal, while not letting them talk it over on a timeout. Unfortunately, the D didn't hold.

amen brother
I couldn't understand that myself..
bad coaching by Phil

a timeout could of aleast gave the defense a rest..they had been on the field for so long in the 2nd half and Lsu last drive was for over 7 minutes
