An excellent question. Would my post have been different? I guess we'll never know, but I'm not one to be an ass about when our basketball team beats yours. I guess you'll just have to follow along with the generally congenial other 3,366 posts that I've made.

Not to sound like the "pot calling the kettle black" (thanks, Bruce), but with Calipari at the helm, it's only a matter of time until UK basketball, and athletics, gets the death penalty from the NCAA.

I prefer to call it what it is, and like I see it. Hence, my inability to kiss the ass of rival fans like lawgator and McCat. They come here and run their mouths (McCat, not so much as lawgator), and then when their team loses, they offer back-handed "congrats".

Nope. Sorry. Not buying it. You mess with the bull...you get the horns. I don't suppose you noticed how quiet McCat was in the week leading up to this game. Or how quiet he wasn't last year in the same week?

I notice these things. And I call it like I see it. McCat is a UK fan. Good for him. Nothing against that. He has a place to do that. This ain't it.

We own UK. If McCat came here looking for sympathy, it was a wasted trip.

He gets what he gets. Today, it's his 26th piece of humble pie. If he doesn't want to eat it, then no need for him to come back, right?

And along those lines, GA, where is lawgator these days?

After all, UF did beat us. Normally, he would be here on a weekly basis to impress us simple-minded Vol fans with his stunning wisdom of all things related to college football...most especially gator football.

But no...things have been relatively quiet in Lake Woebegon these past few weeks. Perhaps lawgator is busy trying to get a hotel room and tickets to the BCS National Championship.

No...probably not.

Odds are, he's been quiet because he knows that if he comes here, he will have to face the fact that his beloved gators are mortal. No need to come here for "intelligent discourse"...he can get that on any number of UF fan boards. In theory.

Funny...rival fans...most of them...only seem to show up here when they are favored, and after they win. Rare indeed for any of them, McCat excluded, to stick around to eat their own cooking.

Thus, my point about rival fans.

If you take my comment about 6 wins being bowl eligible but not bowl bound as stirring up trouble or disrespectful, then that's pretty sad.

Yearly congrats on the win!

Now comes the real competition- getting a great fit for coach at Knoxville and in Lexington. Here's to a better 2013 season for both.
