The wifey has a background in sourcing (particularly China and particularly apparel). Hell,if you just need help with Mandarin (emails with potential manufacturers) let me know.

I think he's just pointing out that you've got a market identified and a store but the product is seemingly secondary. It's not wrong. It's just an interesting juxtaposition.

And trying to offer a helpful suggestion in Ali. They seem to sell anything and everything, but they really leave a lot of space for improvement in the marketing area.

If you want to sell items as new on legitimate marketplaces like amazon then you can't buy from Ali. They require legitimate invoices which Ali can't provide

Also be very careful about buying from middle men pretending to be the manufacturer. Read too many stories of people being relegated to eBay/Craigslist to get rid of products they believed to be legit. The Chinese do not care who buys it
