Let's start some voting right now, what's Young's trade value at the end of the 2007 season?

Much lower than Leinart's.

I will probably get laughed off the board for this, and he may prove me wrong, but I don't think VY will make that great of a Pro. Yea, his Rose Bowl performance was great, but I thought that USC defense was the slowest defense I had ever seen in a championship game. Plus legs alone will not guarantee success in the NFL.

VY made alot of teams look slow in college.

Come on now CBC, he's set up to succeed. Throwing to Bolden and Fitzgerald with Edge in the backfield. Give Green a year or 2 and they will be contenders. Plus they have the coolest new field around.

Like when Oklahoma held his offense to exactly 0 points in the 2004 Red River Shootout?

Word. Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald at wide out. James in the back. Don't forget Leonard Pope, who they just got from Georgia. I think he will make for a monster NFL player.

Nah, there's a number of people who agree with you. I'm one of them. I've stated my case on here before... Most know it. Insufficient speed, poor passing mechanics, inability to run offenses more than simple system ones. He benefited from a piss-poor Big XII conference, and an overrated USC defense in 2005. In the years before, he was manhandled on a regular basis by top teams.

6 short months ago, milo was singing Vince Young's praises. Don't be surprised if he flip-flops on the issue once again if Young turns out to be a good NFL player.

I remember when much the same type comments Vince is getting were being said about McNair when he stepped up to the NFL. It's easy to doubt what has not yet been seen. And for all he did or did not do at Texas, that carries only a little weight as regards what he'll do when football becomes a career for him.
Young will be fine as a pro. I'm glad he's a Titan.

Two guys who squared off against one another in January for the NC in same backfield in the fall. Funny how things work out. Think Titans are going to have an exciting year.

The question is, will Leinart have enough time in the pocket to get the ball out there? One thing Leinart has not had to deal with in his college career is pressure in the pocket. While I do not believe that VY has dealt well with pocket pressure either, at least his legs will be able to keep defenses honest to an extent. Where Leinart will probably get 2.5 to 3 seconds, on average, in the pocket, Young will get 3 to 3.5. However, based on Vince Young's test scores, he might need more than an extra half second to make the right decision...
