You truly are a coward, Vol423. Saying the Titans had no shot of making the playoffs and then showing up when they fall to one of the most talented teams in the league. Yeah, two of our starting receivers are out with injuries, our starting tight end and two former pro-bowlers on the offensive were also inactive. What a recipe for success.

Vince Young also rushed for only 395 yards during the regular season this year compared to 552 yards last year (both in a total of 15 games played) with 10 more carries this year than last year. Defenses are learning to play the run against him and ignore the pass.

Leave it to you to make excuses. Your head coach doesn't do that, so I guess you'll carry that torch for him. The Titans are a joke of a team that only reached the playoffs because the Colts didn't consider them enough of a threat to even attempt to prevent their entry into the playoffs.

I've said it before, I'll say it again... while it's nice to have a qb that can scramble, give me a better decision maker with no legs any day.

Vince played just over 14 games this year. If you're going to post stats, make sure every detail is accurate.

Neither one of them will have much success if they don't have playmakers to distribute the ball to.

No one's disagreeing with you, we were talking about VY's ability. I do hope we can get some good wr's in this year's draft, and not wait til the 6th or 7th round to get them

I rode Vince pretty hard but I he has improved. Once we get our d-backs (either new ones or injured ones) in, plus pick up a few wide receivers we will be okay. Vince didn't lose the game for us today, a fumble=7,missed field goal =3, he did good enough to win IMO. At least we made the playoffs this year. The Chargers and Jaquars have good teams, how good will be answered next week. Hate to say this but Pacman was sorely missed this year.

Tennessee undoubtedly has the worst receiving core in the league. Hell, even Mike "Voyager" Williams was named a starter as soon as his jet landed in Nashville.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but where was the improvement? He did have flashes this year, but was in no way consistent, and some of the passes he threw today was terrible.

Just what number comes after 14 in your world? He played in 15 games. Count them! 15!!!! The rest of the world recognizes that as the number that comes after 14.

I also noted that he had 10 MORE carries this year than last year, which is really more relevant than the number of games played anyway.

He missed almost the entire second half against Tampa Bay and Indianapolis. Did he play in those games at some point? Yes, but when you add up all the time he missed it equals just over 14 games. Also, the training staff as well as several coaches have said Vince's quad hasn't been hunered percent since he strained back in Week 6.

He did complete several passes over the last few games and he didn't do anything to get the team bet. I know he isn't a perfect qb, I know that, Stunna even got upset with me about riding Vince but I see potential. Once he gains more confidence and stick that the running ability, he can be dominating.Jeff Fisher said we would make playoffs this year he was right. The Titans need a few more players and they will get them. Our defense shut down possibly the best r/b ever today, as far as that goes.

Well, IMO he didn't do anything to help us win, and that INT he threw didn't exactly help (I know the game was pretty much over)... if we get some decent wr's and he improves, I'll happily eat crow, but I just don't see it happening.

Those are excuses. So, just to confirm for the record, you AGREE that Vince Young played in 15 games in the regular season this year, just as I originally stated. You also agree that Vince Young had 10 more carries this year in the regular season than he did last year, yet he had 157 fewer yards rushing (395 this year versus 552 yards last year), just as I originally stated. You agree that my facts were 100% accurate.

Vince Young accounted for only 12 total touchdowns this year (9 passing and 3 rushing) compared to 19 last year (12 passing and 7 rushing), and his interceptions increased from 13 last year to 18 this year. These stats are for 15 games played last year versus 16 games played this year (including today's playoff game).

Who said that this guy showed improvement this year? :blink:

I've trying for a 1/2 hr. to say this.I hate losing like everyone else,but think about folks,we would've had our @$ses handed to us by the Patriots one way or another.

Now i can fully concentrate on Predators Hockey :)
