Just to be sure I didn't just miss an insult, by "Yoda" y'all meant "endless fount of roughly intelligent sounding B.S.,' or 'Excedring Headache #5," rather than 'Relatively short aging cynical weirdo with remarkable ear-hair'?

Only problem is having both the picture and just the name "Yoda".

If there was a goofy pic of Yoda, then having just that nickname underneath would be okay. Likewise, that picture with a different nickname underneath would be okay.

As it stands, though, it looks like I'm not just an egghead and slightly pretensious, but a way more than slightly pretensious egghead whose also the kind of over-the-top geek who, when attending sci-fi conventions, insists that everybody deals with him as if he really was the character he's dressed up as....

I mean, the core folks here know its an inside joke, but this board is so good it's constantly growing, and an image and nickname ought to be able to stand the test of future grime...

I like the picture of Yoda that got chosen. It looks suitably beatific and wise- the perfect thing to attach a smartass, contrasting label to.

What it needs is something besides the word, "Yoda" under it.

How about..

Confused you, I have.

Now that's the way to start an auction-

Excellent LIO.

You not only got in the smartass element, but still kept me technically in the sci-fi geek realm by using an actual Yoda quote. You "multi-tasked" me, smartass insult-wise.

You also set the first auction-level for suggestions a little higher-brow than I could have reasonably expected, all things considered....

Still, it suggests I'm ONLY confusing, when my greatest skill actually seems to be leaving people unsure every time I open my mouth whether I said something wise, obscure, or idiotic-with-big-words.

'Course, "Confused You, I Have" tickles me so much, I'd love to hear other arguments for it....

Here's a quote from Yogurt in the spoof movie Spaceballs:

"Who dares enter the sacred and awesome presence of the everlasting know-it-all?!"

or another quote,

"Never underestimate the power of the schwartz!"

I love it!! I think it's perfect. Good one LIO.

I was speaking from experience. I can remember one post of MemphisVol's that I actually understood.
