Kid had a committable offer, committed, then backed out, and now wants to make noise?

I understand the circumstances changed, but his previous commitment ended long before the season collapsed, IIRC

EDIT: commitment lasted less than three months, and he decommitted July 10th

So, how is it now that Wilhoite is upset that Otey isn't being recruited by our current staff? I think Wilhoite had made comments that he liked the current staff. That just does not seem logical.

Wilhoite does like the current staff and will be on campus next week don’t believe all the fake news u hear and otey is movin on and ain’t said a word about Ut that’s the media tryna make sumthin out of nothin

That's how a lot write on social media for some reason. Almost like it's to fit in it to make it look how it sounds. I would hope he would write that way in school. Doesn't mean they won't qualify. Most of that is whether you even show up to school and give effort

Heaven forbid a staff actually does its own evaluations rather than rely on star ratings.

Also, considering how Butch crapped the bed at UT, I’m not surprised that this staff thinks some of the previous staff’s in-state offers were suspect or a number of in-state kids were overrated.

I generally agree with the VQ guys, but I thought their digging of Pruitt’s recruiting after less than two months on the job was unfair, at best.

Adonis will be fine. Kids has offers from almost every SEC school. He and Lance are best friends. While i know they want to go to school together that just may not happen. CJP will do a damn good job and get the best players needes to win. I'll put it like this, TJ Carter is a supreme being on the football field. Well CJP and Ansley said man we love him but hey we can tk a kid from the state of Alabama who looks similar and built/wired the same way. He won't settle to just say i have a kid that's a 3/4/5* if they're not up to his standard.

Would love to get this kid back in the fold. I know no matter what, we’ll get talented corners in ‘19, but it would be that much sweeter if they were in state kids.

I really get the sense that the VQ staff is cut off from this coaching staff...there were multiple things leading up to signing day that turned out to be completely off base and their claims on the staffs interest in Otey seem to fall in that same category
