'22 TN ATH/RB Dallan Hayden (Ohio State commit)

Nico better be putting up numbers if Bishop is getting 15 carries a game by time we get to the meat of our schedule. This would be a huge step back vs what Joe Milton was working with at RB.
Then you’re clearly not as high on Bishop as I am which is understandable. IMO, Bishop can be a very effective SEC RB.

If Seldon is out until Oct., Nico may be slinging it 40-50 times a game. Tennessee has the receivers for that, but we all know Heupel’s offense uses the run game to set up everything.

Yeah thats not happening

Dylan Sampson is arguably better than Wright and Small combined. Bishop, Keith and Lewis are plenty good. We are going to run through everyone but MAYBE Oklahoma.

Jabari and Wright in 2021 were very below average for the SEC and we still ran all over people. (Tiyon was good, but barely played)

Heupel is not changing the offense because we may not have Seldon for a while.

There are a ton of RB's that will fund success behind

LG Lampley/Karic/Umarov/Davis (whoever is LG)

Kind of an over exaggeration abt Sampson being better than Wright and small lol

He is really good, but Wright was more physical and Small was better in pass protection. He could, and probably will, take a giant leap this year. I think with the opening we have now needs to be for an IOL, and then a rb if we have an extra spot come open

Was reading Patrick Brown’s article on 247 about TN’s portal needs, and he definitively said TN is not pursuing Hayden, didn’t elaborate.

Sampson is going to be really fun to watch this year I predict, he is tailor-made for this offense
I agree, completely...however, the ONE THING he CANNOT do, is get our QB killed, something he is prone to doing.

I'm with you, though, I believe he can have a monster in this offense, full season.

Sampson is definitely better than Small and that's not even up for debate lol. He's leveled right there with Wright. Sampson is real and people will see that this coming season
Lol no he’s not leveled right there with Wright. Sampson has potential to be better but Wright was more a complete back than Sampson has ever showed to this point. Wright could pass protect, had speed to hit the home run, and was big enough to be physical. Sampson has great speed, his vision is very good, he has been a bit undersized to this point and he has sucked in pass protection. Again I think Sampson has the potential to be phenomenal but he has to improve in pass protection or he will find his time on the field more limited.

Is he?

Six Power Five college football programs have already been in touch with the former four-star recruit according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “Former Ohio State RB Dallan Hayden has heard from Colorado, Auburn, Louisville, UCLA, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech since entering the transfer portal,”
He was taking about the Oregon State kid. Kid told Hayes he was taking an OV here. Not sure about Tennessee’s side of things at the present moment

He's RB1 all season long no matter who gets healthy or who we land in portal lol. Sampson has elite speed and footwork. Can make anyone miss. Also he's probably the best pass catching RB on the roster. The only thing you have is pass protection haha. And based off what I've read from practice reports he's elevated his game. Yes he is up there with Wright. When he rushes for 1000 plus this year we'll come back to this conversation. Dude averaged 5.68 yards a carry last year 😂.....but okay

I really think being cheated out of that game winning TD against Purdue really changed Wright's mindset. got him committed to being a better back. dude was on a mission.
