I will never ever understand how a kid with P5 physical ability can only make 24 tackles in a HS season...


It speaks either to ineptitude or apathy...most likely a lot of both. If he hasn't cared till now, what makes anybody think he will care later?


24 is a a effin joke. He should have done way better than that accidentally. There is zero excuse or reason for it. A lot of HS kids with D3 or worse size and ability make more plays in one game than that.

Yea de1 does speak like his opinion is the only one that matters. I.E (we better be scared of kiffin b/c he’s going to get anyone he wants in TN). That’s why i always post 24 in this thread, because he made every excuse as to why grimes is worthy of his 5* status. I get it though, he has relationships with these kids and that results in him being bias to a fault. Saying all of that doesnt excuse for grimes being trash and being a paper 4/5*

Seeing those stars beside his name and him going somewhere else makes their insecurity flair up. They have to go out of their way to let everyone know that Tennessee didn’t lose a good instate recruit. It’s just people so caught up in their hobby that they lose perspective.

Calling the kid trash may be taking it a little far but 24 tackles??? Hell I had 24 tackles my Sr year and I had no clue what I was doing. I’m pretty sure an opposing RB accidentally ran into me at least 24 times.

Let's compare to Tyler Baron.

Baron finished the season with 105 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, nine sacks and four forced fumbles. He did it all with a torn labrum, too. Just before the season, Baron tore the labrum in his right shoulder, but he waited until after the season to undergo surgery.

Too far imo. I don’t think the kid is a good player but everyone tells me he’s a good kid. I would refrain from calling any kid “trash”. Maybe if you want to visit the Hardy thread an exception could be made though.
