'20 TN CB Keshawn Lawrence (UT SIGNEE)

This was from late afternoon yesterday on the Miami board;

Not committed to vols or coach Black would know and be rubbing it in my face considering he’s a volunteer himself.

That being said... parents (think he has an uncle older cousin with him too) not impressed by the atmosphere last night. Got a bad vibe early upon arriving at Hard Rock or possibly before (short and sweet some current players doing some stuff they shouldn’t be doing). Had his name spelled wrong on some kind of pass or something given to him and one of our recruiting staffers greeted him that didn’t know who he was off the bat... and then Ivey might not have been the best host. Stayed pretty quiet and didn’t have the best answers to their questions. DVD came in and took over for the rest of the night and it got much better but a rough start to say the least. Today at campus got off to a better start. Parents impressed by Coral Gables and the campus/education. Hopefully Corn swoops in at some point today. Even considering using tomorrow as an unofficial to see all they need to see and heading out Monday. TBD.

I’m flying out to west coast for work tomorrow then coming home and going on vacation right after. Might not be on here for a bit but word is he’ll be committed somewhere by the time I get back from vacation and recruitment shut down.

Miami is such a weird paradox. The region arguably produces more football talent than anywhere else in the country, which would seem to suggest a great passion for football. And yet the University of Miami has the worst fan support of any "Tier 1" football program.

It’s clear Mark Richt has lost control of his retirement.

One of the posters on their board mentioned getting a commit from another Tennessee recruit. Who might that be?

Somebody on 247 asked ivins “Are you close to crystalballing Lawrence to us?” And ivins said “I need the dust to settle”

This guy appears to be their insider

About to jump on a plane to fly to Phoenix but last I heard was parents won over by DVD, Rumph, and Manny. Highsmith gave them a good talk about why the Browns pull so many Canes and his role in that.

His 7v7 coach says Cane. Probably won’t have many, if any at all, conversations with coaches until he commits so he can weigh his options without any distractions.”

Yeah zero worry here. We see quotes like that all the time from recruits on visits to UT but they sign elsewhere most of the time. Glad he had fun in Miami but it would be pretty surprising if he didn't pick UT on the 4th.
I hope y'all are right. But I've seen this show before and it often goes the wrong way.

And this is why sometimes you have to respect guys like Ryan Callahan who doesn't just throw a bunch of sh!t against the wall to appease his customers. This guy, JC Schubert and those Georgia Mods are next level homers.

Is it set in stone that Jimmy Calloway would play on defense? There might one more spot left in the secondary if Lawrence commits.
Calloway will play WR. I don’t think this staff is gonna take 5 defensive backs again. No way they take more than 4.

1)Let me just start by saying there was some major screwups on this visit according to their insiders. Misspelling his name, some other actions by players that his parents didn’t like. I don’t think Miami made up the ground that they needed to here.

2)Even if he does commit he will have a lot of peer pressure and pressure by our coaches to flip before this is done. And again I don’t think Miami is sitting as well as they think. I believe he was all but committed to us before the visit and it didn’t make enough ground up to sway him.

As an aside how in the hell as a program can you misspell a recruit’s name if he’s your primary target at DB? How can you have players doing stuff that puts your program in a bad light in front of the family when you’re attempting to put your best foot forward? You have to be at your best in recruiting if you want to be a successful program and gaffs like this show me Miami has a ways to go. I want to land this kid but I’d also like the U to get back on track and weaken Florida’s recruiting and beat the hell out of Clemson as well.

I bet they do take 5..
Green
Jenkins
Johnson
Lawrence
McDaniel
We won’t have the room for that. We’re also taking 5 OL, 5 DL, 2 QBs, 4 WRs, 2 RBs, 3 LBs, a TE, and a Long Snapper. There’s only like 23 spots right now and we’ll have to get creative just to get to 25. Not sure how they’re gonna work the numbers on this.
