Yes, Tennessee still is involved there. Probably still a long shot until he actually visits the Vols. And I'm a little skeptical of his ability to play cornerback in college — LSU thinks he's a safety, and from the film I saw of him recently, he looks like he's around 200 pounds — but he's a good athlete and probably could help any team somewhere, so I would expect Tennessee to keep recruiting him. I'm also not certain that he'll make it to a college campus next year, because he's a good enough baseball player that he might be chosen early in the MLB draft next year and have a chance to sign a pretty lucrative pro contract right out of high school.
The reason you don't hear a lot about (or from) Hampton is that he rarely gives interviews. There's already some talk of him taking some official visits to other schools, though — Florida, Ole Miss and others are still involved — so you might start to hear a little more about him this season.
