'24 TN DB Boo Carter (Tennessee)

Man. To lose the highest rated player in the state in the middle of the playoffs is a big deal.

If he is planning on playing at Brainerd, I hope he is speaking with someone at the TSSAA about eligibility.

If you take a second and look objectively then there are definitely some red flags going on here. I believe Boo missed a game last season that wasn't injury related and now CCS (allegedly) has gotten rid of him entirely.

Elite athletes like Boo get special treatment so to suddenly be gone from school (as playoffs are getting cranked up no less) is quite concerning. If this move was made by the school; to not even allow him to finish out the season and semester and then just transfer after Christmas is a big deal. Anybody that coaches or works in education will tell you as such.

All that to say, I still want the kid to choose the good guys as I think he is a dynamic talent. He isn't the first talented athlete to have some school issues and he won't be the last. But there appears to be a pattern forming here and that is a concern and needs to get corrected quickly. Perhaps this is his rock bottom and he ends up a better man for it. If not, then he is at risk of joining the long list of athletes that messed up opportunities due to off field incidents.

Boo is getting a chance at a new place, it looks like. Let's just stay calm and see what happens. Boo could be a lockdown CB for us, if things work out. I have confidence in our staff both in identifying top-shelf talent and also in building and maintaining a culture. I feel sure they are aware of more than we are, are in contact with Boo, and know how to handle this. There's nothing for us to do, really, but wait and see.

Brainerd for Boo. Info in the article.

Does anyone know what the original suspension was for and what happened to take it to the next level? Still fact hungry.

Was the final straw not accepting the initial punishment, or was it just a stop on the way to final disposition from the get-go?

Whatever his personal situation is outside of football, there is a lot of mutual interest between Boo and LSU now.

It's highly unlikely that anonymous posters on a message board are going to get all the facts. The coaching staff will be much more advised. If they still want Boo to be in orange, so do I. I trust their judgement and will reserve mine. More judgement is the last thing this kid, his family, or our world today, needs. Go Vols.

Yes, not my place to share. What I've heard recently tho is the person is a known attention seeker who was just trying to get attention

The person that accused Boo* btw
This 100%. Only the accuser and the person that was accused know the real truth. I think that’s why CCS just had to wash their hands of it completely from the optics of the situation if it was being investigated externally.
