“From the jump, we got there, and the vibe stepping in there immediately was up there with any visit I have had,” Jimcoily said of what stood out about the visit. “They had someone walk around with us and answer our questions to keep us comfortable. The hospitality was definitely different. I really enjoyed that.” “Then, stepping out into the stadium with all the fans out there, that vibe was undescribable. You could feel the energy flowing every. Watching the band form the T, singing Rocky Top, and all of that coming together was a great time. It was beautiful, really.”
“When I got there, I talked to Coach Martinez and Coach Banks, then before the game I talked to Coach Heupel for a couple of minutes,” Jimcoily said of this. “They were really excited to get me down there for the visit since I hadn’t gone before. They were really just talking about how they like my film and that they want me to get downthere more often so they can keep tabs.” “Really, I didn’t focus on a position or the coverages, I just focused more on the way they played,” Jimcoilly said of this. “I guess it is more common for SEC schools, but they were very physical and the way the move. The pace was unmatched at the intensity they went at. I saw Arion (Carter) and Aaron Beasley out there, and seeing what it takes to play at that level were a couple of things I noticed for sure.”
“I would definitely say it boosted them, then understanding that Kaleb and Edwin are already going and it is out big in-state school, they already had a little jump because of that,” the versatile defender said. “Now that I have gone out there for a visit, it further solidified there spot in the top list of schools that I will be making soon.” The culture and the people in the community,” Jimcoily said. “The academics are important to me. If I can get into a school where it is tailored into what I want to do personally. I want to incorportate that into the networking I can do with the alumni.”

I like the length. Our current DBs seem kind of stubby, even though most are listed as at least 6-1. This kid’s wingspan lends itself to being a good defender.

From Rivals:

A solid top five has emerged for the four-star safety from Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy as LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Stanford have shot to the top of the list.

Even with the Crimson Tide offer only coming in the last few days, they still emerged as a front-runner in his recruitment and an official visit to Tuscaloosa is being worked out.

One of the nation's top safeties can see the finish line in his recruitment just ahead. CJ Jimcoily, the No. 20-ranked safety in the Rivals250 for the 2025 recruiting cycle out of Tennessee, has locked in a date to reveal his college commitment.

The talented four-star safety from Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy is set to come off the board on August 8, he tells Rivals. Jimcoily will choose from his four finalists of Alabama, LSU, Stanford and Tennessee.

Jimcoily took official visits out to Stanford and LSU in June following unofficial visits to Tennessee and Alabama earlier on in the spring, including picking up an offer from the Crimson Tide in May.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound safety and his family relished their time out West seeing Stanford in June.

"The academics speak for itself," Jimcoily told Rivals this summer. "It's such a prestigious school with so many opportunities to take from it. I went into it (the January visit) to investigate the academics and what more I could go out of it, from what they're providing to speaking with the coaches and also academic advisors, and talk a lot of business. I really valued that, and for Stanford, football would be the cherry on top of the academics, because that's probably the thing that interests me the most."

Jimcoily has some strong connections to the LSU coaching staff and also has family in and around Louisiana.

The official visit was an eye-opener for the RIvals250 safety.

"It was phenomenal ... I can't even put it into words," Jimcoily previously told Rivals.

"One of the biggest things was the communication with all of the different coaches on the staff," Jimcoily continued. "The biggest thing was that family vibe. I had a family connection in Louisiana and this visit solidified that feeling overall."

Jimcoily is the No. 5-ranked prospect from Tennessee in this 2025 cycle.

The Volunteers are catching momentum this summer and are aiming to keep the four-star defender close to home.

"They're making it very hard to leave," he said of Tennessee. "I like their coaching style and they're very personable, which catches my eye. I have a lot of teammates there and it's the home state, so they're showing great interest. Guys like Edwin Spillman, Nate Spillman, Kaleb Beasley
... There are so many players who vouch for Rocky Top, and when it comes down to the real deal of it, players are the best to go to. It's the home state with teammates and coaches who love you, with a program that's up-and-coming, and I recognize what they've accomplished under coach (Josh) Heupel. I value the change and the standard he's provided."

The Crimson Tide entered the race for Jimcoily in May after getting the big-framed defender on campus. Alabama wasted little time making noise in this recruitment.

"The new staff at 'Bama has been non-stop. In my eyes, Alabama is the pinnacle of college football, the most decorated program in history, so having the offer to play for them is once in a lifetime opportunity. That immediately drew me in, and beyond the name and the program, coach Hitsch is a really nice guy, personable, and I've been impressed by the switch from the Big Ten to the SEC.

Feels like LSU due to the family connection maybe? Would feel more encouraged if we got another visit before he commits.

Timetable: Aug. 8

Jimcoily, one of the top safeties in the South, is set to announce his college decision on Aug. 8. LSU, Stanford, Alabama and Tennessee are finalists for the standout defender from Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy.

Jimcoily made official visits to Palo Alto and Baton Rouge last month, and this decision is expected to come down to the Cardinal and the Tigers. LSU has been trending up with the Rivals250 safety ever since his official visit to campus.

From Rivals:

Oklahoma could be moving up Jimcoily’s list even more as a recent visit to Norman thoroughly impressed the 2025 four-star safety from Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy.

From the coaches, to his talks with coach Brent Venables and position coach Jay Valai to the “genuine vibe” he felt from the players, Oklahoma has now emerged as a real contender along with Auburn, Michigan, Kentucky, Miami and Tennessee.

Erect a tall fence around the state in recruiting.
