He has visited the Vols at least eight times this year and has been to three of their home games this season.
“(I am) still building relationships with the in-state recruits, some of the commits,” said Hardy, who’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 97 overall prospect and No. 3 strongside defensive end in the 2020 class and the No. 2 senior from the state of Tennessee. “And that’s what I’m really doing with all the other schools, as well — trying to connect with all the commitments.”
Hardy grew up attending games at Tennessee during his brother’s recruitment and playing career with the Vols, and he admitted his family connection to the program — along with the fact that he grew up liking Tennessee — has been “just in the back of my head” throughout his recruitment.
