'20 TN DE/LB Tyler Baron (UT SIGNEE)

Baron saw what happened in Lexington. That team had to two weeks to rest and prepare. They installed a lot of new looks and still couldn’t manage to beat us and scored zero points in the second half. Kentucky has developed one good defensive lineman and that’s all they can hang their hat on. We have numerous playing well just from the last couple of years. Tuttle especially is a stud. Come on home Baron and stop messing with these people.

Yeah KY been negative recruiting that draft stuff based on one draft year for them. Despite us kicking their ass last yr. however kids should see that Pruitt clearly developed players like Phillips and Tuttle to have them ready to play as rookies in NFL as undrafted free agents. The fact they start with odds against them to even make a roster tells you they were prepared

When SwanMan speaks, the people listen.dude is usually solid..
Not disagreeing and my comment has nothing to do with Baron specifically. But just like with AV, any info is only as good as the original source...kids.

I don't mind AV saying "Vol" because I'm an adult and understand he's only passing along info. But sometimes I wish he would phrase it "kid says". Just for those special enough to need it spelled out for them.

AtlantaVol and SwanMan said Baron is a Vol. He isnt going to lie to the coaches WHEN HIS DAD IS ON THE TN COACHING STAFF.
This is language that sets up unnecessary conflict/drama.

If he thinks he's going to UT right now then there is still a possibility that he changes his mind. That's not a lie. People change their minds. It also has nothing to do with his dad or his honesty unless he's making guarantees.

This. Anyone who has followed recruiting for any length of time has seen over and over again that nothing is for sure until the ink is dry. You can say that, and still not be calling a kid a liar, or asserting any negative thing about a kid. Recruits change their mind. Staff change their minds. Sometimes staffs change period. A position coach is fired or hired or moves. Grades didn't turn out like they planned. There can be a million reasons why a guy who everyone (maybe even the kid himself) think is going to be in a class, isn't actually in the class when it all shakes out.

Nothing is final until the LOI is in. And even then, things change. I never breathe about a recruit until he shows up on campus. Jabo Lee never made it. Anthony Harris never made it. There's been others. A kid can plan to be a Vol, not be a Vol, AND there be a valid reason that doesn't mean they're a liar, a horrible player, or a horrible person.

Just be grateful for what we get, wish the best for the ones we don't, and trust the staff that they made the best decisions possible for the program.
