I agree. But my opinion is that a lot of “big time” recruits will want a show. How many times do we see it. Coaching evals aside, going after recruits that are wanted by all the big programs comes with a territory sometimes. I don’t get it either but it’s hopefully a sign we are recruiting well.Obviously I'm a different generation but if it is TN and he knows it, I just can't relate to "my moment" instead of helping build the team.
Perfectly normal I'm sure, yet so foriegn to someone like myself.

Not a fan of the "me" culture that surrounds recruiting. I hate how recruits disrespect the process, coaches, and fans. I don't understand silent commits. I don't understand the need to try and humiliate other teams by throwing around hats or whatever. But I guess it's a generation thing. I would prefer if guys took their visits and respectfully made their choice. But for whatever reason they like to turn it into a circus. I wish they would handle it more maturely, but, of course, that's not gonna happem. Guess I'm just old fashioned. Was wondering about what AV said and yeah, of course it helps. Still wouldn't complain about public recruiting though.
Like I said, I know it's common these days and I'm not singling out TB by any means. It's just harder for someone like me to relate to.
Someone that's never been interested in having "my moment".
Always more concerned with what the best plan is for the bigger picture. Just different times.

Being in that "old fashion" generation, it has taken awhile to grasp how fast things move nowadays. There was a time we went from sat to sat not knowing what went on during the week with our teams, boy has that changed. As far as the "circus"....we all contribute to that circus via social media, forums and have to share in the blame for how some of these athletes feed our circus. But for whatever reason they like to turn it into a circus. I wish they would handle it more maturely, but, of course, that's not gonna happem. Guess I'm just old fashioned.
The pre-madonna.."look at me, I need attention so bad" crap gets on my nerves sooo bad.Was wondering about what AV said and yeah, of course it helps. Still wouldn't complain about public recruiting though.
