'22 TN DT Walter Nolen (Ole Miss)

Jimbo is a fraud. One of these guys is one of the highest paid coaches in CFB. The other gets fired after winning a national title. I do not envy the next guy who gets the LSU job.

The ONLY reason Jimbo has a reputation!

I could have coached that team to a NC. Best team since 2001 'Canes.

That wasn't even the best team of the early teens. 2012 Alabama was better.
I don't know about that.
Definitely debatable...........Either way, that group made Jimbo a name. He didn't do squat. Great recruiters on that staff.......Not him!

He sucks...he wasn't smart enough to hire quality replacements. He had nothing to do with winning that title other than being a cheerleader

This is dumb. Ed O had just as much to do with them winning as anyone else. He was the head coach. He hired thise coaches. So without them do they win the title?

Have fun at Cult U with Jumbo. Rodney Garner will turn some other kid into a top draft pick.
He's already made money for Matthew Butler. Just watch this April.
He had 45 tackles and 5 sacks this year under Rodney G as a DT.
Butler is very intelligent and has great leadership qualities. Once he combines and interviews, he will be a top 50 NFL draft prospect.

I think the young man showed what staying the course and hard work will do for you, but top 50 may be pushing it. Your main point remains though.

If he was so good, he'd still have a job.. O is a moron.

I don't think O is a moron, and in fact probably has good football smarts, but his moral compass let's him down, both personally and professionally IF the reports I read about his LSU issues are IN FACT true. He showed his lack of concern for character working for Lane at several stops and ESPECIALLY the day of his departure from UT when calling student athletes already on campus and telling them not to go to class the next morning to OFFICIALLY trigger their UT clock. If you can justify that, you are at risk for the hundreds of value judgements you have to make in that profession or in your personal life which is also on display under the bright lights.

It would SEEM that the LSU brass were not willing to deal with the risk/reward factor just two years after winning an NC. I admit I was impressed with his exit on TV post game the other night, but have to believe that there was some serious fire behind the smoke or the apparent wishes of his team would have bought him some more time, and he would have mounted a stronger defense rather than just taking the money and running. But my fact set is limited and my bias based on his departure here is what it is.

Kind of hard to keep your job when your trying to hit on a very powerful man’s pregnant wife in a very very disrespectful way. Also all the title IX stuff an issue as well. It was time for a clean break.
