Powell (Tenn.) five-star defensive tackle Walter Nolen took his first visit to Texas A&M, and after spending three days in College Station he plans to return.
The 6-foot-4, 300 pounder has schedule an official visit with the Aggies for October 9 when they host Alabama.
Nolen, the no. 5-ranked player in the country released a top five early in July and Texas A&M was not on it. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee were the schools on that list. It is safe to say that the Aggies are trending up after this visit.
“The visit went good,” said Walter Nolen, Sr. “We loved everything. The facilities, the coaches, the campus and the players all stood out.”
What’s Next?
August is a dead month, so Nolen plans to settle into his new school and get started on his senior year. September will put Nolen back on the road. Alabama and Georgia could be set to host Nolen for games early in the season and he is expected to visit Tennessee numerous times with it now being just 20 minutes from his home.
A decision is not expected to be made until December. He has taken official visits to Florida and Michigan, and has now scheduled on with Texas A&M, so there are only two remaining.
Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee are the schools fighting for those spots right now.
