Oh no, how dare someone demonstrate disobedience to law enforcement?

View attachment 360077
The people responsible for that mayhem obviously love the police, and they were only trying to hug and kiss the cops who were called to the scene; just like Donald Trump's MAGA crowd in D.C. on January 6th. Such public displays of affection will get out of hand sometimes. There was clearly never any real threat of danger posed.

Both were wrong and got out of hand. Plus the capitol police are really just security guards.

But only one doofus said something stupid like this to Laura Ingraham of Fox News:

"Right from the start, it was zero threat. Look, they went in - they shouldn't have done it - some of them went in, and they're hugging and kissing the police and the guards, you know? They had great relationships. A lot of the people were waved in, and they walked in, and they walked out."

- Donald Trump

What an idiot.

Is anything he said untrue? Would it have been better if he said they were "mostly peaceful"?

Are you serious with this? LOL.

You saw protestors in the Capitol "hugging and kissing the police and the guards"? Because I haven't seen any such footage of the protestors and the cops making out.... please post a link to video. (as long as it isn't too explicit). LOL.

And "Right from the start, it was zero threat"?

FACTS per The Washington Post: One police officer died, another lost an eye and another suffered two cracked ribs and two smashed spinal discs. In all, 140 officers reported some form of injury following the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. Some officers are on video being assaulted with a flag pole, while others are being jammed in a door.

It wasn't "mostly peaceful" but it was a ridiculous thing for Trump to say. I don't think you are that stupid. I will give you the benefit of the doubt, that you just haven't seen any of the video of the riot from January 6th.

Sure. Go for it. I would like to know how Trump was responsible.
The whole point of the January 6th rally was based on a lie. Donald Trump was telling his supporters that he could still win the election. On that day, Trump no longer had a pathway within the framework of the United States Constitution towards overturning the results of the 2020 Presidential Election. The riot doesn't happen without his lies.

So what? Were these adults that did this riot? If not, then your point is valid. If they were adults, then your opinion has zero merit. Those idiots chose to break the law. Nobody forced them. Trump NEVER told them to break the law.

Stop with the ridiculous Trump insurrection crap. It’s just another ridiculous tactic used by your side to shift blame. Your side is the kings of that.

I guess you haven’t seen the videos either. Why were the rioters allowed past the barricades by the actual officers? Why were the officers seen waving them in?

Even if granted admission, that obviously doesn't give anyone the right to brandish a flagpole as a weapon and strike another person with it. Such violent conduct is on video... and I have seen it. I have also seen other such inexcusable violent conduct from the Capitol protestors as well.

Trump was feeding his supporters a lie. The rally and the subsequent riot do not happen without that lie. It was no longer possible for Trump to overturn the results of the election on January 6th. He does bear responsibility for the riot.

You are right. What they did is inexcusable and terrible. And none of it falls on Trump. The only ones to blame are the Q nuts and others who took it upon themselves to do it.

Nope. Adults made the decision. Personal accountability. Say I told you and some others that I had a billion dollars in a bank and you can have it. But to get it, you will have to fight like hell to get it. You and some others decide to break the law. Who is to blame?

You are just as crazy as the guys you are complaining about. I can't stand either one of you.
