Considering the layoffs at ESPN, budget cuts, and other issues it is easy to understand that they would produce a failed analysis like this.

Yeah, he's definitely a top 100 player. This metric is stats driven. Stats can never be the single measure for determining the best players

These pre season rankings are nothing but wild guesses and should be taken as such.

Yep, some of these and/or most will hold true to form but there will be ppl saying at end of year so & so wasn't even in the Top 100 and now he's in running for All American & other awards and others will say that dude was in the top 100 and now he's rotating at his position on his team or now he's suspended what a thug etc... Its fun to read and look at and these organizations are making millions off of advertising and always looking for clicks. So you will see them ad-nauseam.

Maybe just me, but Bowers has been the best player in CFB minus Bryce Young since he arrived on campus at UGA.

Best TE yes. He isn’t a better player than Williams, Maye or Marvin Harrison Jr.

Why does it matter? I highly doubt any of our players care about this. Any preseason prediction, either player or team is meaningless. Has absolutely no relevance at all.

Ive followed recruiting for 20 years. There is one constant, ESPN has 0 business in the recruiting industry, its that bad.
