I don't disagree with anything you said, but I can't blame him for getting caught up in the sudden attention he was receiving. I hate that it blew up on him, but it can be a life lesson for him. But as you said, he will get a ride somewhere.

I'd take him as a preferred walkon for sure. I have to wonder if that was the plan all along. We only had a few spots remaining to recruit.

So after all this Russell isn’t signing with A&M and now may not have an SEC spot? Wow, the writers of The Dyersburg Chronicles really upped their game for the season finale.

I know he was upset about not getting an offer when he camped, but I haven't seen any quotes of him saying much bs.

But lets be honest, ever since OD stepped in here this thread has been impossible to keep up with. lol

I am actually glad traffic is so bad here in Nash that I can read this while I am sitting still on the freaking Interstate . This tread is literally GOLD. Just when I thought it was dead yesterday.

PS PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS, can not drive in the rain. They act like it is the first time in their lives they have ever seen rain, and they just found out water is WET to boot.

I went home on lunch & it took me 45 minutes from Goodlettsville. Rain + Nashville traffic is horrendous.

Who knows what was actually said but something made this kid's recruitment go south all of the sudden. Either A&M, Arkansas, and Tennessee's interest was overplayed; maybe they were trying to get him as a PWO or blueshift. Or he crapped the bed with something he said and schools lost interest.

I hate that this has happened. I'm sure he had a spot, but Toot may have taken it. If Toot would have chosen Washington or Bama then he probably would have had that spot. I really wanted this kid, but when you get someone like Toot you just have to do it that way. Maybe there is something we can do.
