‘23 TN LB Arion Carter (Tennessee)

The biggest name left on Tennessee’s board is Arion Carter. The Smyrna product won Mr. Football for 6A this week and now he heads off to Alabama for his last official visit. Tennessee made up a ton of ground last weekend with a spectacular visit where he got to spend a lot of time with Josh Heupel, the entire staff and players.

In talking to him earlier this week, he likes the idea of playing for his home state but the allure of Alabama is still very much present. Going into the visit, we believe Tennessee has the momentum but the Tide will try to take it back over the next couple of days. His plan has been to sign early and then announce decision at the U.S. Army game in San Antonio but both Tennessee and Alabama have been pushing him to come and go through bowl practice so we will see if he changes his mind.

Will Arion Carter shut things down after his weekend with the Tide? Carter has indicted that he will announce at the All-American Bowl in January (will still sign on December 21). Alabama has been his dream school. He is considered a priority target. Carter had a great OV to Tennessee this past weekend. I believe the in-home visit with Coach Saban on Monday night slowed down any momentum the Vols had after the visit.

It’s not the same Bama anymore

Not surprised at all to see that arrogant write up from Bama on3

The SEC is getting better around them. Even though it was already the best conference.

Bama can still have great teams. But from 2018 forward it's just harder for them now.

Just in the WEST alone.
Now you have Heupel and Smart in the EAST.
If they get through the west that still have to deal with a super fast Tennessee team or a big and fast UGA team every year in Atlanta.

SEC gets tougher and tougher
UGA, UT, Bama, LSU all were good enough to be conference Champions in most other conference this season.

Saban was pretty damn lucky there were so many programs falling all over themselves over the last 15 years
