‘23 TN LB Arion Carter (Tennessee)

Arion Carter is a top 15 rated LB in this class, Jalen Smith is top 40 and even Telander is top 75. I mean it'd be a pretty damn good haul, and the way we use "edge" guys is more like OLBs anyway. And we have 2 top 15 Edge guys in class with Bradley & Herring.

It may not be elite, but to call it mediocre is a gross exaggeration. Especially when you consider Seldon could end up playing LB and he's a top 125 player listed as an ATH.
I wouldn't call it mediocre. But I don't place blind faith in the recruiting sites or hang on their every whim like some here are prone to do.

The way some of these guys portray the near infallibility of the recruiting rankings... they would have to rate UT's LB class even with Carter as "mediocre". You cannot say that recruiting rankings are a tell all and then consistently call 2 4* and 2 3* an "elite" class.

I mean one is the goat and the other was just great but both overstayed in the NFL.
Idk how you can say that. Brady was arguably the best QB in the league last year. And this year, while regressing, is still top 8-10 in QB WAR. Not the right forum for this convo but just wanted to correct the record on that statement

Less than a calendar year ago, this was a 3 star RUNNING BACK Memphis commit…nuff said.
