I look at the average score more than their ranking. UT is #7 on 247 with a 91.32 vs Bama at #1 93.68. That is within any reasonable margin of error. The Vols are actually #3 on Rivals with 3.83 average stars behind OSU and UGA. On3 has them at #7 with a 90.40 avg score vs Bama at 92.54.

All within the "margin of error" so it comes down to how good the staff is at evaluations and development.

such a far cry from the Butch years, when we would have a high ranked class of 30 players, but the average score was lower than most.
