‘23 TN OG Brycen Sanders (Ole Miss commit)

Ayden Bussell is NPA. The staff didn't really care if they lost Sanders and we didn't push for him for a lot of his recruitment. What other NPA kids do we want that are uncommitted? Demitirus Bell had 0 offers with nobody talking to him before he was with NPA, now he had interest from several high-profile programs and is committed to one of the best programs in the Big Ten so I wouldn't say they don't help kids. They just promote their kids to colleges and Ole Miss, Michigan State, Michigan, and Kentucky bend over backwards to get these kids and listen to their promotion of their guys. Ole Miss just offered several 8TH GRADERS for example. They actually got some new Tennessee guys working with them too and they really like this staff. Some high-profile people I talked to within NPA said they didn't like Pruitt at all but they really like what Heupel is doing. NPA was the reason we had a meeting with Zach Evans after he entered the portal by the way. Evans ultimately went to Ole Miss but not because of anything NPA did.

I’ve seen people claiming to be close to Bussell saying he was pushed hard to UK by them. The family’s love of UT was too hard to overcome.

Did Tennessee do something at some point in time between buck’s playing days and currently to tick him off? I cannot believe an organization run by a former vol is pushing kids anywhere but Tennessee.

Yep.

Really questionable business when you steer kids to schools like Kentucky over Tennessee. Just doesn’t really seem like NPA is in the business of doing what’s best for the kids. Add to the fact that Buck is an alumni and allows ppl like Conley to come on a message board and smear Tennessee with absolute BS.

I’m sure NPA started out with the best of intentions. It’s a shame what it’s turned into.
I would argue it's questionable to steer someone else's kid towards any school. They're paid to train a kid to the best of their ability. Aside from physical training and "football IQ" subject matter, they should really avoid life advice and if they feel the need to do it anyway, do so sparingly and in an unbiased manner.

I know this may sound like "easler said than done" territory, but it's really not that hard.

jmho...

We seem to never get the Chattanooga kids. No big loss here.

Some of that has to do with the school they attended. Baylor and McCallie kids don't necessarily have the same instate loyalties that a lot of other schools do. Hell it costs 25K a year to go there (50k if you are a boarding student), so the kids that do pay their own way are usually pretty well traveled and don't always gravitate towards their own state program. They are also in class every day with kids from all over the country, as opposed to kids who are strictly local. In the past, there have even been kids from there who are classified as instate prospects, but are boarding students who comes from out of state. On top of that, you have a lot of kids who technically live in a different state, as there are commuting day students from Georgia and Alabama. Considering the state of our program over the last 15 or so years, that hasn't necessarily helped with exposure once you cross into GA or Bama.

Sounds like an Ole Miss school to me. Rich Spoiled Privileged Arrogant Pricks.

It's all about the $$$$
That's for most people in most things as they become adults. Not always, but letting the Big 10 and our order border rivals come in to get the talent is good for their business and probably the kids future.

NPA does a really good job getting TN talent noticed. But...the University of TENNESSEE has a strong footprint nationally .

Demetrius Bell is going to MSU. Just now got noticed really...
It's not like spurned us for Alabama, or Clemson.

NPA is a good product...that we DON'T need.

It was because SPYRE didn't offer what they wanted "for Zach".

And despite what many on here say, Heupel and SPYRE are in very close communication. So they offered what Huepel and crew was willing to give, which wasn't enough for them.

I've defended Buck and NPA. I've watched them grow and become successful. But it's VERY clear that they are pushing kids AWAY from Tennessee. Regardless of who's coach.
Some of them not even taking visits to UT haha...
Yeah it's obvious. Still, some on here despise them for that, and that's understandable, but it's not like they're representing 5 star QBs and 5 star WRs or 5 star DE, and 5 star OL...all of which we are actively recruiting getting visits from. Commitments from.

And @allvolrecruiting , one more thing people don't seem to catch on to. In 2022, there's literally JUST MORE football talent in America and in the world than 20 years ago.

The population of the United states has grown by 40,000,000 people in the last 20 years!! (Rant over)

So Tennessee can sign a top 5 class and not ever get one visit from an NPA kid.

I think it's more they promote those who promote them which makes sense. We don't have to get NPA kids to win

Well that's what I said in my own words.
You're correct. They promote those that are good for their business and give kids the same type of opportunities.

Meanwhile, UT will continue to recruit 5 star QBs from California.
Linebackers from Georgia and North Carolina, all the while leaving the door wide open for In-state kids that prove they belong.

Hell, the Zach Meyers kid from Asheville, NC would be the prime client for NPA this cycle if he lived in Tennessee. UT isn't even recruiting him hard.

Eventually, there will be another Jalen Ramsey type talent that comes up from NPA and then we'll see how much money each side wants to really make.

I've stated before that NPA is beneficial for a large number of kids. I've seen the development of kids they've worked with in middle TN. They help kids get scholarships. That doesn't mean that they haven't developed relationships with boosters and everything is on the up and up. The barber has openly stated as much on this forum. If that bothers or offends you in some way then sorry, not sorry.

I'm pretty I'm the first one that made that be known about them, big dawg.

You might be misreading me.

I don’t know anything about this recruit, but I do know Baylor and TN hs D2 wrestling. If your the type of athlete that can play SEC football then you don’t come in 5th place in the state tournament. You win it or at worst come in 2nd or 3rd on your natural abilities. Count me shocked if this guy ever plays any meaningful minutes of P5 level football and I wish him all the luck in the world. JMO, TIFWIW, AARP

Also has no mental fortitude getting hoodwinked by human garbage.

If I’m not mistaken, you were an excellent wrestler in your day as well as your sons… multiple state wrestling championships (dad and kids) in that family if you are who I have thought for years.
