— RivalsWoodyChris says a lot of things that are all over the place. He told me his five official visits some time early in May, then later that week said Florida was his leader when they weren't even one of the schools that he told me would get official visits.
PriceI know there has been some talk about Auburn and Chris saying they are #2, but I don’t believe that to be the case. I think that is all gamesmanship with the quote. I’ve talked to multiple people today and Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama are way more of a threat than Auburn. Clemson has entered the picture along with OSU. Bama has re-emerged to join TN and Texas A&M. Long way to go in this one and it will have plenty of twists and turns.
Y'all, it's gonna be May for another few months. It seems like all these kids are waiting to see what we do on the football field. The solace we can take is that 'commitments' are more and more fluid and decommits happen all the time. If we go 7-5 and get a favorable bowl match-up, I could see us making some noise again. It's just not gonna happen until there's a fresh product on the field.
Yeah, Swain event was discussing how long the drive feels. Said it just doesn't feel like UT territory when making the trip.I honestly don't think we should consider Memphis kids in-state. Not because of the city itself, but because it is so far away, geographically. Chicago is just as close to Knoxville as Memphis is. To use Memphis kids as an example of in-state kids not liking our coaching staff ranks as one of the stupidest arguments ever.
I get your point but Chicago is definitely farther than Memphis is hahaI honestly don't think we should consider Memphis kids in-state. Understand but the point he was making was that we don't have a "home school" advantage with many Memphis kids. It's definitely tougher to sell a Memphis recruit on UT because of location. But the problem with this one is that schools just as far or farther from Memphis are his top schools (aside from Alabama if they are really a choice).
