“Don’t want”?

I don’t think anyone has intimated that they “don’t want” Tucker. They may like Tucker a great deal. It’s quite likely imo.

All that’s been said is that it sounds like he’s a bit further down the board than some other guys.
Yeah I think many posters use that phrase too liberally when it is misleading. When you are recruiting the best of the best HS players and also looking for how they will fit with their attitude, personality, passion along with their physical talent the line becomes very thin sometimes. UT coaches not taking a commitment from some certain prospect does not translate "do not want" as if there is a problem with the recruit.

What could a player possibly do at this point to fall, or rise for that matter, 291 spots?
Not attend a recruiting service's camps or do the things they require. His dad said a while back that they are done doing that ish. So expect a drop in rankings. I will trust our coaches evals everyday over the services. Rivals sucks donkey.

You know looking back at this whole recruiting thing I'm sure I've made a ton of mistakes for sure I've pissed off my fair share of people but that never mattered to me all I ever wanted was the best for my kid and him be respected for the hard work he has put in. But I've learned there are ALOT more people that can't be trusted who are only out for themself or there agenda as to those who care about the well being of the kids. At this point Tuck doesn't care if he's a 5 Star or a No Star, the focus is on being a leader , getting better and winning state as a senior.

To leave it I have heard the same advice from HBC's from schools all over the country. Don't listen to these recruiting services, don't trust reporters and don't answer the phone if IMG calls. 😂

IMO, it's the practice of dropping a player's ranking solely because the kid doesn't attend a recruiting service's camps that demonstrates the sham perpetuated by Rivals and 24/7. But, as we see every recruiting cycle, there's plenty of posters that take star ratings as gospel.

247 dropped a lot of players quite a bit .their explanation was this massive reranking was due to 1st time in depth review of their high school film this past season.Their 2020 rankings before was based a lot on camp performances so the sham was reversed if that is what you are calling it.

If those people would read through the RF they would understand. Its kinda in almost every thread now how if they commit or possibly show interest on TN they will be dropped on the rankings. Which should not bother the recruit since they know full well what they are capable of. And it should not bothers us as recruiting junkies since we know the biz now. Recruiting service's suck donkey.
