“The fans and stuff, it’s just been crazy,” he said. “Coming through here and (seeing) the Vol Walk and stuff, and just doing stuff that my dad’s been able to do in the past, it was really cool.”

“I spent a lot of time with (defensive coordinator John) Jancek and (offensive line coach Don) Mahoney. Coach Mahoney, after junior day, we watched a video and he just wanted to let us know that they’re not taking as many offensive linemen as in the past. They’re trying to narrow it down, because we’re starting to get more depth at those positions.”

“I love it,” said Mays, who’s planning to return to Tennessee for its spring-ending Orange and White Game on April 25. “I feel like it’s a really good place to be if you want to be building a program and stuff. It’s cool to be able to grow up around here and get to see it just coming to an elite football program.

Randy and Kevin's playing career missed each other by about 5 seasons. But Randy was coaching at The Hill when Kevin was playing.

Not good for us.

If you think this kid is going anywhere other than TN, then you have lost your marbles. He will be committed before 2017 NSD.

But?...Sanders was the WR coach for the first two and RB coach for the last two of his dad's time there? Nothing's more important for an old OL than those two position coaches...not even alma mater stuff trumps that! :ermm:

Just didn't know how close Randy and Kevin might be.I hope your right OG because I think this kid has a chance at being a top 25 National recruit.

It will be Tennessee with the biggest contender being clemson. These two will battle but if he doesn't end up in knoxville I'll be shocked
