'24 TN OL Ronan O’Connell (Clemson commit)

So since one of the insiders ruined my dream of Sham and Bennet playing OT (you suck btw)

LT - Bennett, LG - Sham, C - Satterwhite

That’s thick

Just sharing what I know. Argue if you wish
No argument. If you pursue great players then you're going to lose a LOT of them and win a few. You cast a broad net.

Fortunately, there are a lot of kids with the talent to be developed into good college OLs out there. So the panic over a kid choosing someone else isn't rational.

I hope this kid chooses UT. He looks like a very good prospect and he's from TN. But the sky is falling stuff... is pretty ridiculous.

No one cares about this kid specifically (or at least I don’t). But it’s an unfortunate trend

We have 3 OL committed for '24. We seem to be in decent shape to get WS and Bennett out of TX. That would be five good OL commits in the boat, assuming we hold on to them through signing day. I am not seeing this disappointing trend that some of y'all are talking about. Especially if we get Bennett and Anderson out of TX!?! Two really good OL pulled out of TX does not happen if you aren't doing something right in recruiting.

Won too many games last year. Need something else to complain about

What do you mean by "trend"?

There are 3 OLs committed. I have some question about Perry but the other two look better than "solid" as recruits. They signed 4 HS players in 23 plus two good looking transfers.

I see a "trend" that they have a pretty particular profile in the guys they're pursuing. But what "trend" are you referring to? That they don't get every good OL they offer?

I’m just telling you it’s a concern. Don’t shoot the messenger

And... I'm asking you what you think that "concern" is.

If you pursue high level prospects then you are going to lose more than you get. Clemson and several other programs are going to make their best appeal and win some of those battles. What you have to do is turn around and look at what you got when the dust settles. Those are the guys the staff will try to turn into a winning OL. The 6 OLs and current 3 OL commits they've gotten over the last two cycles look like the right kind of talent to produce some really good OLs.

I don’t think it’s incorrect to say that OL recruiting is a little concerning? Why do people keep acting like it’s not even the slightest bit concerning?
It really is, but heaven forbid you bring it up, cause apparently it is wrong to question our OL recruiting

Recruiting is better than it’s been in a long while. Concern yourself with that

He’s saying it’s a concern for someone who matters. Is that Heup or is that just some donor who think he’s running his own franchise bc he’s rich? No idea

JFC, AP has hinted that we’re in excellent shape with Warren & Satterwhite. Both are 4* lineman.

Yet, some of you are crying about losing an instate kid.

The concern part is just girl drama because they have nothing else to b*tch about.

You can certainly make that argument. But we do have a couple 4 stars already in the boat and seem to be trending for Satterwhite and leading for Warren. If we land those two in the next week or so is OL recruiting still a concern at the present?

I’ll say this if we miss on both I’ll be a little concerned but I think we land both and when’s the last time we signed 4 - 4 star OL?

We were leading for O’Connell then overnight Clemson took the lead and will likely get his commitment tmmrw, whats to say that that doesnt happen with Warren and/or Satterfield?

Actually it was only guesses that we were leading for Ronan. If you paid attention, nobody could ever interview the kid. Not when he was on campus and not when he was at home. Clemson could’ve been leading the whole time and nobody would know
