Herring made seven tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, and was credited with a pair of quarterback hurries Friday night to help Riverdale close the regular season with a 33-14 win over Stewarts Creek High School of Smyrna, Tenn. The Warriors will travel to Lebanon (Tenn.) High School on Friday night in the first round of Tennessee's Class 6A playoffs.

His 74 tackles from that position is absolutely outstanding.

Don’t think they played many pass heavy teams. Was at the Riverdale/Rockvale game and Rockvale ran every play away from the side he lined up. He did chase down the ball carrier several times. Definitely looked like the most athletic player on the field.

He will arrive Friday and begin practicing with the team right away. "Honestly, I can't wait," said Herring, who finished his senior season with 80 tackles (16.5 for loss) and 2.5 sacks. "I wish I could play, but I can only practice. That's how exciting it is."

Herring decided over the summer to enroll early, but had to hustle to make that happen. He had a little motivation. "Honestly, just seeing all the amazing things that UT was doing, that motivated me to really get to work and get all of my stuff done," he said. "I'm not going to lie, I was slacking with it. But it motivated me and I got it done. Deciding to enroll early was the best decision I've made."

His ability to Start Stop and Start again is outstanding. He and Bradley have that elite athleticism. Both need time in Strength program but in time they both will be great players. Sky is the limit. In CHRIST Alone
