We did. If you watched in 2016 and didn’t see Colton as a weakness, frankly you don’t know football. He was slow, couldn’t shed blocks, and got caught out of position a bunch. The kid did his best and made a few timely plays and I’m not here to trash him, but to retroactively put him on a pedestal is nothing more than sentimentality.
He didn’t really "beat out" Kirkland either. DK missed 6-7 weeks with an ankle and Colton had to man the middle. Again, he’s got a lot to be proud of, but I’d rather not play that back.
