'21 TN OLB Junior Colson (Michigan commit)

Ah.... Michigan’s version of @Ron Swanson

Colson, a Top247 prospect from Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn., has remained one of Tennessee’s top in-state targets in recent months and has continued to hear from the Vols on a daily basis. Colson was back at Tennessee just a month ago, and the Vols have emerged as one of the top contenders for him, with Michigan, LSU and Oregon believed to be among Tennessee’s main competition for him. He already has discussed taking an official visit to LSU, and he has said he's likely to visit the Vols again sometime after the ongoing dead period. Colson made a post on his Twitter account last week that caused some to wonder whether he was closing in on a decision, but sources close to his recruitment have indicated he's not on the verge of committing just yet. He recently told 247Sports' Sam Webb, though, that he plans on committing around "late May," so a spring announcement for Colson looks like a legitimate possibility.

Not sure why any adult (unless its part of your job) would follow a high school kid on twitter but whatever. Seems creepy to me. Ben Stancliff and Andrew Ray say hold my blowup doll.

Just checked Twitter and coronavirus hasn't gotten him yet 🙄

  • Tennessee or Michigan
  • Neidermeyer and Tennessee has worked hard here.
  • Colsons “guardians” went to Michigan - hence the tie
  • Expects him to do something late May.
Damn, there going to make another blindside movie where we are in second place again.

One of Tennessee's top in-state targets, Top247 linebacker Junior Colson of Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn., currently has his sights set on announcing a decision by late May, and the Vols still are widely viewed as one of the teams to beat for him. Sources close to his recruitment said Tennessee and Michigan are the two schools in the best shape with Colson at the moment, with LSU and Oregon, among others, also still in the picture. If Colson sticks to his preferred timeline for a decision, he won't get a chance to take any additional visits before making his announcement. That could help the Vols, who already have hosted him on a pair of visits this year. But Michigan appears to be a serious contender for Colson, and sources said his decision could come down to the Vols and Wolverines in the end, assuming he doesn't postpone his announcement until the summer.
