'22 TN OT Fisher Anderson (Stanford commit)

Thank you for having the fortitude to see the true factor here. It baffles me how idiots think we recruit the kids away from a particular school. Kids choose the best situation for them and in the past 10+ yrs UT has been a train wreck and we've given every coach fair chances and some kids went to UT and others went elsewhere. Not sure wth ppl think kids are obligated to land in Knoxville when they can find situations that are in much better shape. We've sent quality to UT even through the down time and it's still accusations that we hate the school and hate this person or that person. Naw we hated Butch and that's it. He lied on us and because he couldn't recruit true high level guys so when the boosters went to him he said it was our fault and got Thigpen to join in on the lie. So yeah we told him to go eat a pile and never come to Nashville again. Other than that not one coach will tell you anything bad including Heup who was here with us last wk. Told him it's your job to get here and get the kids they're fair game and for the taking. Every coach from Kiffin to Pruitt has gotten NPA kids. Wake the F*** up and stop whining UT fans. The world doesn't revolve around UT.
I'm not saying NPA hates UT, but some of your rants lately, it sure seems like you do. I'm not one who normally attacks your posts. I try to keep things civil. And I understand you do get lambasted by some, which puts you on the defensive. But some of your responses as of late seem to drip a little venom UT's way. Not sure why. We have a staff in place trying to right the ship. Seems like you, and NPA even, would want that to happen because long term, it helps you place kids. The more successful football programs there are, the more kids you can feed into the system with positive results.

Nashville is right in the center of Tennessee… UT is the flagship school of the state of Tennessee.. hmmm I wonder why UT fans expect to have an advantage with NPA kids. Have some damn state pride

Just want to add, I don't think Fisher is out until he commits somewhere. The kid is orange-blooded, and though that hasn't gotten us very far lately, it can never be discounted. But it also sounds like Heup needs to do a better job selling the academics.

That’s the one thing I don’t understand. Last year the state of North Carolina had a great recruiting class. Most of the highly rated kids went to UNC because they wanted to stay in state. UNC went 7-6 in 2019 but those 2020 kids wanted to be the class that gets UNC good.

Can’t speak for UNC, but as for the middle Tennessee area, one of the problems is we have a very high percent of transplants who bring their allegiances from elsewhere. Tennessee won’t make inroads with many of these kids until they win again and entice them to jump on the bandwagon. Sad but true.

Has nothing to do with “fortitude”, let’s just say I am familiar with the recruitment. Personally I think you bring most of the animosity on yourself by the content and dribble of your posts and the fact you are a leach using the student athlete. You act like npa has a 100% success rate which is not true and you don’t deny you make money on “placing” the athletes at various schools.

their football facilities are poopoo.

It is not selling the academics, it is FA’s familiarity with UT and the program (Mom and sister are graduates). Getting an official in July will be critical as he will not make a decision until all visits are completed.

And NC is FULL of transplants so that torpedoes the same argument people make about middle Tennessee.

I’ve lived in Charlotte for nine years now and still get kind of wowed when someone says that their parents and grandparents were actually from here.

I figured that was the case but couldn’t say honestly. It’s crazy here...

Business vs Leisure.

De1 is a Vol fan.

But NPA caters to more than just UT.

Mullen, Smart and Stoops money is just as good as Heuepls. And if they have more of it...👍

When I went to Franklin High, there wasn’t Centennial. It was Brentwood, Franklin and Page plus the private schools. Franklin High was very diverse. It isn’t anymore.
Correct. The diverse neighborhoods in downtown Franklin and near the school got zoned to Centennial. (My parent's and all their siblings graduated from FHS and my grandfather used to be on the school board. He fought the rezone for years and they went through with it after he retired.)

Easier to get to Stanford (direct flight) than Charlottesville. Those are top 2.
He really likes Northwestern. He told me the deciding factor will be the guys that will be in his friend group at each school and things that go along with that. I just get the feeling that he wants to stay kind of close to home
