'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee commit)

The biggest of those is 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre, who dropped his top-10 earlier this week. The top three for a while have been Tennessee, Alabama and LSU. This weekend will mark the conclusion of seeing all three over the last month.
He has been to Knoxville countless times and his relationship with Josh Heupel is his best of any coach in his top 10 minus his uncle who is the head coach at FIU. MacIntyre has seen Alabama play four times over the last year, both at home and on the road and the Tide have lost three of those four contests.
We continue to feel that anytime after his junior season wraps up will be a possible time frame in terms of coming off the board. Most likely sometime from December through February makes the most sense.

If his uncle was HC at Vandy then I’m sure they’re be included
Understood. But his grandfather was a Vandy star so I thought they might be included for the same reason.
The poster mentioned that Vandy wasn't included because they are trash.
I was just pointing out the so is FIU and he included them.
Obviously don't think he's going to Vandy or FIU, just thought he might throw Vandy a bone and include them in the top 10.

His grandfather was the HC who was fired back in the 80’s. Brand loyalty prolly didn’t extend.

2025 QB George MacIntyre had a laid back visit. He is feeling like a priority, obviously, but this is one of the first times I have really heard him reiterate the fact. He is going to take a few game day visits this fall because when he commits, he knows he is not going to visit anywhere else. Still feels like a decision is most likely to come sometime after his junior year.

So he slid FIU into his Top 10 to throw his uncle a bone rather than including Vandy in his Top 10.
Because his uncle is still employed by FIU while his grandfather got shown the door. Vandy isn't in it because there's not a connection in his lifetime.

From Rivals:

Tennessee’s message to the 2025 high four-star quarterback is that he’s “their guy and always has been” and that meant a lot to the Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy standout during his recent visit. MacIntyre also liked a whole lot that despite losing so many key players from last season that the Vols are still finding ways to win as Tennessee, Alabama and LSU battle it out for him. A dark horse is UCLA as he loves the coaching staff and he will visit Westwood for the Colorado game later this month.

Austin Price said on the podcast Monday (paraphrasing). "His most important factor is relationships, and his best relationship continues to be Tennessee Head Coach Josh Heupel."

That says a lot to me.

On the 2025 front, George MacIntyre had a blast last weekend. He and Heupel and the staff spent a ton of time together all weekend. His recruitment isn’t close in terms of weeks but we do think a decision is coming sometime between December and February. His comfort level with Heupel gives Tennessee an excellent shot. He really likes the coordinators at both LSU and Alabama, but coordinators come and go.
