Bearcats just got a stud! Lots of teams will regret not getting involved sooner. Michigan St and Cincinnati got in very early.

Oh well......just glad BGA doesn’t have to play against him next season........:)

I think it’s a great fit for that offense. I also don’t think it is a lock that Fickell leaves Cincy. He is a Midwest roots guy. Cincy is a great spot for him that he could win at consistently as proven by multiple coaches. They are also moving to the Big 12 conference. I don’t see him just jumping at any job. Ryan Day has some NFL folks sniffing around him. Fickell could play the long game and get the job he covets most at his alma mater

Penn St will be his new home. Im just wondering if Franklin goes to USC, LSU, or even potentially Florida. I hope he goes out west because I can't stand that guy. I'm worried he will end up with Florida and be extremely annoying.

I’d rather Franklin go to a Florida than Kiffin or Freeze. Franklin can recruit so he will be pain in butt but he is not good at X and O. Another rah rah ceo type that thinks he is an offensive guru when he most definitely is not

Yeah but he isn’t a west coast guy. I hate when coaches get outside of the recruiting territory that got them to where they are. It’s a recipe for failure. At least at USCw that isn’t as big a deal since you can just recruit your backyard all day. So maybe that is the exception but I know it’s been said before he was waiting on something in Big Ten country.

I dont see a fit at USC but I think he would be just fine in Baton Rouge. This same kind of argument was given about Urban at UF because he was a "supposedly" devout Catholic who had never coached in the "South". Louisiana would be appealing to me if i were a Midwest Catholic who wanted to coach and recruit on the big stage. I could never understand the appeal of central Pennsylvania.
