'22 TN QB Ty Simpson (Alabama commit)

Why would a young high school kid wanna play for the Vols? Sanctions coming and a new head coach most people don’t care for.

Most we are getting is a 1 year bowl ban and reduction of a few scholarships. Hr has to be here or somewhere 3 years, anyway. Shouldn't affect his decision. Idk. Not looking good. Texas may be the wild card with Sark leaving Bama.

I think he was already planning on being a vol before the change. Add a new coach who is known for great offense and QB development... timeline seems fine to me.

I know the narrative is “He’s been looking for any reason to be a Vol. We hired an offensive coach. He’s a Vol.” But, we just hired JH and I can’t imagine in less than a week he feels so good about it that he’s ready to commit.

I think it’s Clemson. They continue to get rich off the failures of our program and they continue to put guys in the league at the QB position. He’s probably the next Trevor Lawrence in the sense that he grew up a UT fan but just can’t risk his NFL prospects by going to a struggling program.

I’d love love love to be wrong, I just don’t have a good feeling about it.

Well, it will be interesting to see where this offensive staff goes for QB in 2022 if Simpson goes elsewhere. There seems to be a high number of quality QBs in the 2022 class.

"I feel like I'm very open now with the firing of coach Pruitt," Simpson said. "We had such a good relationship that I always thought I would play for him one day. Now with coach Heupel there and getting to know other programs better that I want to slow things down and see if I can build relationships with the new staff.

Yeah don’t sound great, the more I think about the less confident I feel.
