I hadn't heard that before if true it makes alot of sense.I know he was interested in UT and Pruitt wanted to turn him into a Db and he said no thanks.I always wondered what made him choose GT over his other options.Gibbs was ranked as like the 2nd ranked RB and top 100 recruit in 2020. He signed with Georgia Tech because he lived with his coach, and the coaches son also signed with GT. He had offers all over, he went to GT because he was loyal to his high school coach who allowed him to live there, not because he wasn’t talented enough to go elsewhere
I recall him being ranked as an all purpose back, not a running back?Gibbs was ranked as like the 2nd ranked RB and top 100 recruit in 2020. He liked UT during his high school recruitment and likely would have signed, but Pruitt wanted him as a defensive back. He wanted to play RB so he went to Geo Tech. Once he entered the portal, he was pretty much a lock to end up at Bama.I heard some say on this forum Gibbs LIKED us or wanted to come here. But there was no interest by the staff at that time ? Then he goes to bama as a transfer. I think he would be our difference maker this year. Hopefully we will be fine without him, but I do wonder what impact he would have made.
TBH I would take Keith and if there isn’t another big time RB prospect out there I would take Bishop over Stallings. I know that Bishop plays in small Tennessee but he’s broken records for rushing in TN state history. Stallings has hardly played his senior season from everything I’ve read. This way we would get a power back and an all purpose back.Hard to see him as a take atm. Seems like Keith is the target. Get Keith, then see if anyone interesting hops into the portal after the season. If there's nothing there, and you still have a spot come February, then maybe things change.

Perhaps.. were up 17-3 in the 2nd quarter then went cold. Potential is there but they’ll just have to get more reps for the QB.
I agree. His HUDL video reminds me of Small. We've got Wright and Sampson. Think the focus should be on a bigger back.Hard to see him as a take atm. Seems like Keith is the target. This isn’t accurate. Gibbs went to GT because of loyalty correct. But this other stuff isn’t accurate. He didn’t live with his high school coach. But he’s currently at Bama bc of who helped him in high school.Gibbs was ranked as like the 2nd ranked RB and top 100 recruit in 2020.
