I guess all the idiots on here expected a team full of Freshman to go into OK and whip the Sooners.

We need to fix things ... like the Oline...but get your heads out of your ass and realize how good, and hard, this team played all night.

Stoops never pulled his starts because the game was never completely in their control.

So the spread was 21 n we lost by 24 so that is a good performance???

Explain please.... I just don't get that. Did we look better at times..yes Did we do anything special no.. Based on Vegas we underperformed..

Reality is we sux n 6 wins will be hard... With a small margin of error but we will have to see.

I feel sorry for people like you that choose to live totally negative lives.

You'll find something negative to whine about even when we win a championship and that's really pathetic.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. I think he should have to get under center and face the OU defense for a quarter.

Uhh... Just because Vegas sets a line at 21 doesn't mean we were expected to lose by exactly 21. That's why you can bet to beat or cover the spread. We actually fell right in line with Vegas predictions. Same would have held true had we only lost by 18.

Regardless, we were 2 plays away in the 4th Q from it being a 3 point game. The second of which resulted in a pic-six that covered the spread.

Sorry, but losing by 24, scoring a whopping 10 points, averaging barely 4 yards per play, giving up nearly 7 yards per play, and being down by double digits almost the entire game is not representing Tennessee football "VERY well." We can't even cover a big spread anymore, and it's just one more example of us looking like a has-been program not a to-be program.

I think that we played ok considering all the factors that went into the game. Yeah we lost to a good team on their home turf. Hell, you can count on one hand the number of games Stoops has lost at home in 16 years.

The thing that impressed me the most other than Hurd's second half performance was that Worley is one tough son of a b@*#$. He took more shots tonight than Mayweather did in that title fight.

We get 2 weeks for Georgia. Their defense is nowhere near as good as Oklahoma's and South Carolina proved that today. We did ok in slowing down the Sooner rushing game and they have good running backs. Now if we can only get 0 busted coverages...

If you can't see the young talent on this team and that we are getting better you no nothing about football. Do we have things to work on, yes. But this team is going to win some games and go bowlin. GO VOLS!!!!

Half of these kids were in high school last year. We were 1 play away from it being a 10 point game in the 4tb quarter against a OU team that is one of the best teams in the country. A top 5 team on the road and our defense allowed one TD in the 2nd half. This team has improved so much from last year. We were just overmatched this year against them guys.

FYI they come to our house next year!

Completely agree with the OP.

The water head negavols that speak from emotion rather than facts and knowledge on this site need to come to grips with reality.

1. We had two passes in the endzone that could have gone our way. If they do, we are sitting on a score of 24-27 in the fourth quarter of a tight game with a top 5 team we were supposed to lose to by 21 points...
2. 18 year old freshmen against seniors and redshirt seniors simply do not have the same amount experience or strength. This does not mean our coaches are bad, it means we are rebuilding.
3. Our defense rocks and never quit tonight. Good coaching will keep a kid from quitting.
4. The talent on this team is vastly improved.
5. The real VOL fans were in Norman tonight and showed this team the love it deserves.

We lost 14 points for turnovers in the endzone and gave up 14 points to mental error on defense. One of the turnovers also led to 7 points. Oklahoma is your national champion this year more than likely also..
