TN Senators vote against Ukraine aid bill

Imagine if NATO had actually had their **** together for the last few decades. Germany's army is a joke, they should be the strongest by far and the others are worse. The Scandinavians have good outfits but their populations are miniscule (plus neither Sweden or Finland have been part of the crew). If they had actually invested what they were obligated to they could easily be their own bulwark against Russia and also have the capacity to arm a proxy force on their own ****ing continent. Instead it's the good ol USA once again swooping in to write a huge check our ass can't cash and if we're lucky maybe send some "advisors" into Poland to help the Ukrainians figure out a few things. This should all go swimmingly and not be any sort of catalyst for a worldwide conflagration. And if you don't support this newest adventure you're simply an ultramaga Soviet bootlicker. What a world.

How? They're going to cross the Atlantic and invade Fernandina Beach?

Let's also not forget that Democrats voted against testing immigrants coming across the border illegally. I mean, it's a pandemic that's going to kill everyone, right? We could finger point stupid stuff like this all night, but we have needs here at home more important than sending money we don't have to Ukraine, again.
I've been saying the same thing over in the Ukraine thread. The ministry of truth over in that thread doesn't like me suggesting that we have more important needs at home.

Sir apparently you haven't been paying attention, all the high prices we're currently experiencing are tied directly to this conflict. The administration has said as much.

Sure, the war in Ukraine affects our economy in a variety of ways. Just the embargo on Russian oil increases the price of oil, which increases other prices. But read the post again. It claims that our military aid package will cause inflation, and that is not an accurate statement. Reckless blowhards say such things, but you won't find them supported by responsible economists. Anyone who knows what they are talking about will tell you different.

An orderly and timely exit out of Afghanistan, and we could have used all of the weapons and cash left behind there for The Taliban to send to Ukraine. Not that I support any of these stupid azz conflicts we find ourselves involved in, but that would have removed any need for most, if not all, of this $40 billion.

I took it he was saying that tongue in cheek.
