After seeing those 1 handed catches ,secure catches, it's TE all the way.
Maybe back in the year 2000 when you could just be a blocking TE, that occasionally caught a pass.

He's a big kid for his age, and he's not done growing. He'll be 6'4 255 by thetime he's a high school junior and he doesn't have the athletic ability to play out wide like our TEs need to do. He's not even an HB back type.

He's going to be 290-300 lbs six years from now.

Doesn’t have the athleticism? Have you watched him play? And not the 4 minute huddle film.

Can you be more specific in your growth rate predictions...... I mean, we want to know... 😎

Haven't developed a TE here yet

Development does not imply super-stardom. Warren and Fant have not developed under this staff? You do not think they are vastly improved from when this staff got here? They both have limitations athletically. They have likely hit their ceiling from a physical talent perspective. They are both much better than they were 2 years ago.

I don't disagree but a recruit isn't going to be watching every single game of ours like me and you are

OWENS

6'3" | 220 LBS | TE | 2025
ALCOA
ALCOA, TN

Tennessee, Cincinnati and Michigan are three programs to watch in Owens’ recruitment but his visit to Knoxville this past weekend definitely stood out. The 2025 tight end from Alcoa, Tenn., loved the “amazing atmosphere” and the message from the coaches and their vision for the future of the program especially made an impression.
