'24 TN WR Amari Jefferson (Tennessee)

Oh, I thought you were hating on Jefferson. My bad & congrats to your son,
Thank you for clarifying. I spoke with Amari after that game and told him what a fantastic player he was and hoped he changed his mind and become a Vol. Will be cheering him on. He’s really a fine young man.

Regarding Jefferson, I think he probably would've played some garbage time in cupcake games later in the season (i.e., Mercer) if he hadn't had the hip surgery after the Vandy game. So the hip issue (which is fine now...he will participate in Spring), combined with a loaded WR room is the reason he didn't play. It's not because he's not talented.

Heupel and Saban both wanted him badly. He showed out among other top recruits in the UA All American Game. He's talented. If Tennessee gets him, that's a great pick-up.
Yep, totally agree... at this point we need to grab any WR with talent we can...

Numerous people also think Alabama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss, Miami belonged in the CFP
Numerous people also think Indiana and SMU did not belong in the CFP
Numerous people think the seeding was totally screwed with the byes.
Numerous people think the Committee was B10 bias.

The selection process has and always will need fixing as long as there is a committee. The NCAA is to blame.

Pretty damning that all 4 conference champs that got a 1st round bye LOST their 1st game...including #1 Oregon and SEC champ UGA. Those stupid rules will be gone next season...but it doesn't unscrew us out of our home playoff game vs ASU etc. Luckily as UT fans we are used to being screwed in bowlgames and such so we won't complain too much about how ridiculous the seeding was.

Bama and SCjr both losing their bowlgames to teams they were favored to beat means we dont have to listen to them yap anymore about being left out at least.

Is it a red flag that Braylon Staley didn’t play? I mean come on. They’re both redshirt freshmen and have 4 years to play. Idk why everybody is in such a rush to say no to such a talented kid
1. Staley did play. But yes, I would like to know why he didn’t play more.
2. I didn’t say “no”. I said it’s a red flag.
3. Within a couple minutes of my post someone explained that it may have been due to a hip surgery over the summer.

If you and your buddies want to only look on the bright side of everything, that’s cool by me. But when a kid doesn’t play at all it’s 100% fair to question why.

Staley only caught 3 for us and Matthews only had 7 and Bama’s WR room was significantly more talented than ours. If Nick Saban wants you chances are you can play. He just needs some work, the size and athleticism are definitely there though
I agree with you but asking Pope to mold any receiver is just scary. Guy is garbage.
