Yep, totally agree... at this point we need to grab any WR with talent we can...Regarding Jefferson, I think he probably would've played some garbage time in cupcake games later in the season (i.e., Mercer) if he hadn't had the hip surgery after the Vandy game. So the hip issue (which is fine now...he will participate in Spring), combined with a loaded WR room is the reason he didn't play. It's not because he's not talented.
Heupel and Saban both wanted him badly. He showed out among other top recruits in the UA All American Game. He's talented. If Tennessee gets him, that's a great pick-up.
Numerous people also think Alabama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss, Miami belonged in the CFP
Numerous people also think Indiana and SMU did not belong in the CFP
Numerous people think the seeding was totally screwed with the byes.
Numerous people think the Committee was B10 bias.
The selection process has and always will need fixing as long as there is a committee. The NCAA is to blame.
1. Staley did play. But yes, I would like to know why he didn’t play more.Is it a red flag that Braylon Staley didn’t play? I mean come on. They’re both redshirt freshmen and have 4 years to play. Idk why everybody is in such a rush to say no to such a talented kid
I agree with you but asking Pope to mold any receiver is just scary. Guy is garbage.Staley only caught 3 for us and Matthews only had 7 and Bama’s WR room was significantly more talented than ours. If Nick Saban wants you chances are you can play. He just needs some work, the size and athleticism are definitely there though
