WRs usually do better in the second year in this system… Brazzell has the attributes to be dominant he needs to improve his play strength like Hyatt did he can be a dominant force with his athleticism height and catch radius. Why not? He had 29 catches this year. He wasn’t the deep threat Wr, he was the guy you need at 10-15 yards. We still need a deep threat but no reason to hate on Brazzell, he did his job
one thing about jefferson. anyone saying he isn't talented...or plays for small school. didn't see him in USAAAB.
Jefferson may not have the basketball type ladder, burst, or change of direction. but he has some giddyup, ability to find the ball, and has some twitch. honestly kind of reminds me a bit of, gulp, Jason Swain.
6'0" ish, 200. bigger frame, maybe more suited for the slot.

Thanks. Hadn't seen that video. To be fair tho, not many SEC QBs will have 10 seconds for those routes to develop. Kinda looks like a Bru type player. Strong, possession type guy.

I’m not whinning. Simple fact. I don’t care if Jefferson comes here or not. Kitzelmann has been great here but I’m not sure AJ is the attraction to the staff he was coming outta HS now. And wanting to play baseball, isn’t going to endear Heupel anymore.Stop it! That ish dont matter. You dudes complain about any damn thing. This is a business, take your fragile ego out of it and stop whining.
He just needs to be fast enough. More importantly, he needs to be a good route runner while getting in and out of his breaks. And most importantly, catching the ball at a high rateSaw him play in high school. Doesn't have great speed. Big strong receiver more in the Bru mold. I thought he was taller than the 6' he is listed. It's not going to surprise me if he comes here and over time becomes a baseball player rather than a football player.
The thing that Tennessee lacked this year that great teams have (and the 2022 Tennessee team had) is WRs who fight for the football. Ohio State WRs are on another level, but it's not just them. Go watch Oregon or Texas. Even Arizona State. Look at the great Alabama teams. LSU 2019. Clemson from 2015-2020. If the ball is in the vicinity, they come down with it. Our WRs often dropped uncontested passes and they sure didn't catch many contested balls. He just needs to be fast enough.
