I’m just going to put this here instead of bumping each players thread. I was on the field for the Lipscomb Academy/Catholic game tonight. Beasley and Spillman are ANIMALS. Beasley had two INTs and one scoop and score off a blocked FG. Completely shutdown his side of the field. Spillman is a heat seeking missile. His awareness is off the charts. Him and Carter together are going to be SCARY in a couple of years. As good as those two were, Chauncey Gooden was just as impressive. He’s exactly what you want on the interior line. Mean and physical and just wants to put dudes on their backside.

Honestly we definitely need to offer one kid from Catholic as a PWO and I would even consider a scholarship if we had one available. He’s currently committed to Wofford but he’s incredibly shifty and would be an ideal PR and KR. Think Josh Smith but probably more elusive. He took one punt back to the house and Lipscomb was only worried about him all night.

Damn I’m good.

Hugely productive WR & kick returner over the past 2 years. Good speed with a 10.81 PR in the 100m. Caught 56 passes for 1,130 yards and 11 TDs last year; also returned 2 punts for TDs.

Through Catholic's first 9 games this season, Harmon had 49 receptions for 758 yards & 8 TDs while tallying 996 yards & 6 scores on kick (4 TDs) and punt returns (2 TDs).

Haven’t gotten to go a Bradley Central game this year I see
I see you haven't seen a Catholic game against a lot tougher competition. As of last week Harmon led the nation in kick return yards. I think he has 2 punt return tds and 4 kickoff tds. No disrespect to another player I'm sure they are good.

I was at Catholic when they played LA. I think Boo can make more happen in a pickle which makes him the better punt returner IMO. Now kickoffs, probably Braylon. So it kinda depends which part of the kick return game you want to choose. And yes those stats are correct. Always fun to see how people react to bold claims on in-state kids so partially did it for that lol

Terrific story about Harmon's recruitment by Tennessee in today's Knoxville News Sentinel and how he calls Tennessee his dream school.

Terrific story about Harmon's recruitment by Tennessee in today's Knoxville News Sentinel and how he calls Tennessee his dream school.
At 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, Braylon Harmon is used to people thinking he is “too small” for the highest echelon of college football. “I've always been told I’m not big enough for that big of an offer,” Harmon told Knox News. “ I never would have thought it would have happened.”

Well, it happened for the senior Knoxville Catholic wide receiver who received a Tennessee football offer on Saturday. “It's like a dream as every kid from Knoxville, it's a dream to play that big of a stage for that team and for them to actually want you,” Harmon said. “So being told that just made me really happy.”

He said he was it was not specified if the UT offer was as a preferred walk-on.

Why Knoxville Catholic WR Braylon Harmon is not 'too small' for Tennessee football offer

"It means a lot to me, especially being born and raised here; getting a chance to play for them has always been a dream," Harmon stated after being asked about his offer. He then explains what makes Tennessee unique by saying, "Definitely their fast-paced offense, and I like how they have Squirrel White starting at the slot, which is the same size as me."
When asked about Pope, the Knoxville Catholic wide-out stated, "I went to a camp during the summer there, and I loved the drills he was doing, and he focused on the little things like certain cuts and how to catch the ball correctly. He was very personable when I went to their game a few weeks ago, saying he really wanted me to go to Tennessee." He dives deeper into that statement by saying, "It was when they played UConn, and it was a great experience. I didn't think that they would show me love, but when I got there, they talked to me the whole time, and I got to talk to all the coaches about them wanting me there and what I would do if I went there."
Finally, considering he is a Wofford commit, he was asked if Tennessee now plays a factor in his recruitment. The hometown kid responded, "For sure. A program like Tennessee is definitely a factor. The staff and atmosphere are top-notch. Anytime you have the chance to play in your hometown area and inside of Neyland, it is special.

Unique player, has speed, could be good on kickoff and punt returns as a gunner,
Could work his way into the wide receiver corps,
Kid shows great instincts and could be our diamond in the rough?
Go Vols
