We've been outscored by Georgia and Bama by a combined 86-7. This "Butch is a great recruiter" has to be BS.

Why? We run a lot of pass plays. It's not Butchs fault the receivers refuse to get open. Yes they could run different route combinations but a QB can't throw the receiver the ball unless they're remotely open. Main reason QD kept throwing into double/ triple coverage. They were always more open than the single covered WRs

No big deal. It's far more important to get the best coach for our program. Showing Butch patience and giving him every opportunity to turn this thing around will speak volumes to prospective coaching candidates. No one wants to work for a reactionary hot head. We fire Butch and the class falls apart. We keep Butch til the end of the season and maybe there's slow attrition. Either way we lose recruits. Does it really benefit UT in any way to fire the man now? Maybe it gives the fans satisfaction but how does it really help? Just let things play out and hope Currie identifies and signs the right guy for us. Then let him fill out the class. There just might be some pretty solid players who follow the new man to Knoxville. Heaven knows they will at least be a fit for what he's trying to do which is a lot better than Butch working his square peg into round hole magic.

I highly doubt it

The only way we can keep them on is to announce someone currently unemployed like Gruden or Kelly who then will start ASAP to keeping this class together

I apologize Rish. When things started going bad this year there was a period of a couple weeks where all you did was call out other posters for being negative about CBJ. It kinda got to me so now when I see a post from you that is defending Butch I guess it triggers me because I don't see how anyone can at this point.

But you are a good poster and it isn't my place to tell you how to feel or think about this situation.
