'22 TN WR Isaiah Horton (Miami Transfer)

I know it's hyperbole, but we actually have 6 scholarship TEs. 2 will leave after this year. No idea how any of them match up to what Golesh and Heupel look for in TEs. With one committed, it wouldn't surprise me if they added another one.

But I still contend our major needs are on defense.
The reason I doubt we add another this year is that three of the four we have returning are only going to be true freshmen, this year.

My only thought is those are inherited players. Do they fit what Golesh and Heupel want at the position? If they do, then yeah, they could be comfortable with the depth and only adding one TE. If not, I could see them taking another.

That's fair, and something I hadn't really considered. Plus, Bell is recovering from the injury, and Nixon and Campbell are seemingly carbon copies of each other, as well.

Well, I just meant in the idea that those two guys are probably "move" TEs and not recruited for their blocking ability.
That's the difference. Campbell is one heck of a receiver, but he's a heck of a blocker as well. Check out his film. He's not SEC ready in that aspect just yet, but more than adequate.

Glad we're locking down the state.
Yep, another one bites the dust. Got to do a better job instate. Maybe after ncaa crap is resolved and we show some life. Coaches are working with one arm tied behind their back. Hope we can show some improvement this year. Just hope.

TN basically quit recruiting him. Too slow for this type of Offense

I know it’s easier to be negative but volquest has said we didn’t push for him

What they said is Miami came harder. Can be a big difference and might be a real concern given our very thin board.

He wasn’t heavily pursued by the staff.

What part of that do you not understand? 🙃
