The reason I doubt we add another this year is that three of the four we have returning are only going to be true freshmen, this year.I know it's hyperbole, but we actually have 6 scholarship TEs. 2 will leave after this year. No idea how any of them match up to what Golesh and Heupel look for in TEs. With one committed, it wouldn't surprise me if they added another one.
But I still contend our major needs are on defense.
My only thought is those are inherited players. Do they fit what Golesh and Heupel want at the position? If they do, then yeah, they could be comfortable with the depth and only adding one TE. If not, I could see them taking another. The reason I doubt we add another this year is that three of the four we have returning are only going to be true freshmen, this year.
That's fair, and something I hadn't really considered. Plus, Bell is recovering from the injury, and Nixon and Campbell are seemingly carbon copies of each other, as well.My only thought is those are inherited players. That's the difference. Campbell is one heck of a receiver, but he's a heck of a blocker as well. Check out his film. He's not SEC ready in that aspect just yet, but more than adequate.Well, I just meant in the idea that those two guys are probably "move" TEs and not recruited for their blocking ability.
Yep, another one bites the dust. Got to do a better job instate. Maybe after ncaa crap is resolved and we show some life. Coaches are working with one arm tied behind their back. Hope we can show some improvement this year. Just hope.
